The door opened, and the one who opened the door was mom, I was lying down in bed playing on my phone and immediately got up from my bed, my mother was silent making the atmosphere around the room quiet and tense.

"Uh...what do you need mom? " I asked confused, seeing my mother's unusual behavior

Mother took a calm breath, "Can you... come downstairs for a moment? Your father and I want to talk for a moment..." Mom answered in a calm tone

I nodded then stood up from my bed, I left the room and went down the stairs following my mother behind

This seems serious.. But what is it..? I think in my mind

I saw my older sister ida, dad, and my younger brother Zayn who were already at the dining table, my mom sat next to my dad, and I also came and sat next to ida and Zayn

"So... what mom and dad want to talk to us about?" Ida immediately asked

Mom and dad looked at each other and then look back at us, dad took a breath

"We,re moving. .." Dad answered calmly

The three of us were suddenly shocked "MOVING?!" The three of us answered at the same time

"B-but Dad..didn't we already applied to a new school after our graduation..why suddenly..?" Zayn asked disapprovingly

"Yes... But my company suddenly asked the branch of the company that i worked for to move..."

"But... what about my friends and best friend...?" I asked and disagreed

"You guys can still communicate online..." Mom answered my question

I just sighed and looked down feeling sad at the news, my sister and my younger brother was also silent

"We will move next month, you still have a chance to tell your friends about the moving..." Dad broke the silence

We just nodded slowly without making a sound except for my sister, "Yes dad..." She answered

Dad answered with a nod too and stood up from his chair and left. Seeing our gloomy faces, mom held our hands while smiling softly

"I know this is difficult for you... but I'm sorry, me and your dad have agreed with the company..." He sighed calmly then smiled again, "It's okay, right? You guys will definitely be able to adapt quickly and have lots of friends there, right? ..so is it okay that were moving...?" Mother encouraged us

"Yes mom..It's okay..." I answered, even though I answered that, actually I wasn't sincere and agreed that I had to move at a sudden time like this, it couldn't be helped that my dad had already agreed with the company. So I have to forced to accept it

"Mom... Where are we moving? Is it a city? Or a province?" Zayn asked

"Oh... We're not moving to a city or province... We're moving to a country, our new home is United States..."

"AMERICA?!" My sister and my younger brother said loudly in shock , I was actually shocked too, in fact I was the most shocked but I didn't make a sound

Mom nodded "yes... We will move to NYC later, I already declined the application to new school in here, so Yuna and Zayn can applied to a newer school in NYC and ida might be able to find work there..."

The three of us were so shocked, we moved to America?! I thought we were going to the city or what, turned out were going to moved to another country, we were silent still shocked by what we heard

"It's already late.. You guys should sleep, you have school tomorrow, you can tell your friends about that.." Mom said in a soft tone as she let go of our hands.

We just nodded and stood up from the chairs then went to our rooms

I went into my room and immediately threw myself on my bed, I sighed while looking at the ceiling, still thinking about moving to another country

Can I really adapt in another country?
