"Tori honey!" I heard my mom softly say through the door, waking me up.

"Come in mom," I groaned. I heard my door open and I turned over to look at my mom.

"Honey get up so you're not late for your first session," my mother said. I groaned and threw my head back against the pillow.

I laid there for a minute before pulling myself up and getting in the shower. I washed my hair and got out. I wrapped the towel around my head and walked back into my room.

I pulled on a pair of short Hollister shorts and a teal cami crop top. I penciled my eyebrows a little bit, put on some mascara and some lip balm. I grabbed my phone, put it in my back pocket, grabbed my car keys off my nightstand and then made my way downstairs.

My mom had my smoothie ready. Strawberries, mangos, bananas, oranges, apples, and blueberries all blended with ice. It was imperative to my modeling career. I wasn't allowed to eat processed foods. Everything had to be either organic or homemade. My mother took it upon herself to make her own garden and make my food.

I had such a low insulin intake last year, that the doctors said I needed to consume some sort of sugar. So I drink five medium cans of Arizona green tea because it was the healthiest with sugar. I only have to have this strict of a diet for two more months than I'm off. In the industry, you have the diet for four years so that your body just stays in that state. But I only have to do it for two years because I was a dancer when I first started modeling. But because the diet wasn't giving me the protein I needed for dance, I had to drop it. I still stretch daily to ensure that I don't loose my flexibility so that I can join in again when this stupid diet is over.

I grabbed the smoothie, kissed my mom and ran out the door. I started my car and drove the 7 miles to the studio. I grabbed my card from the console and got out. I scanned myself in and walked upstairs, turning into a hallway going to the sixth door on the right.

Inside there were many stations. Many photographers. I looked for James thinking that he might be photographing his other client. Every photographer was allowed to have four clients at the max, but James didn't want to be overwhelmed so he kept it at two. Me and some other I hadn't met. I hadn't ever heard of her, see pictures of her, or even see any hints that she even exists. I have absolutely no clue who she is. Except that she's a girl.

I found James in the back corner and I made my way over there. I weaved through various stations until I made my way to James.

"Tori!" he said. I gave him a hug and then stepped back. "Well how does it feel? You could be on Teen Vogue."

"Yeah, I mean it's a little nerve wrecking but it should be fun right?" I asked, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Yeah, I guess because it's your first real modeling session. Well, let's get started," he said, motioning to the white platform and white wall.

He instructed me to do multiple poses. He told to do one but then said he didn't like the lighting. I released the pose.

"Mike, can I get some color block over here," James said to the technician. A man with tattoos and a beard who looked to be in their late 30s, rolled a giant light behind the white wall so that it shone through, causing me to look like a shadow.

"I've run out of ideas. You got anything," James said after I did two more poses. 'Um...' was all I could say. "You're a dancer. Do something from that?"

"Okay," I said. Just I started standing up, the door to the room opened for the first time in what seemed like an hour or so. The person who had entered stood there and looked around for a second until they looked at something near James. Then they made their way over here.
