Chapter 07: Ruby

I was shocked when I experienced what I did. Heartbroken when I saw the blood. And town apart when she told me her story. I offered for her to stay at my place to get away for a bit. She called her mum then joined me in the car.

It was silent but I didn't pressure her into talking to me. Phoebe had texted me when we got there but I ignored it considering Tori pointed it out to me.

When we got to my house, she clearly wanted to forget the incident that happened today because she asked me a very irrelevant question.

"How do you know Justin?" she asked.

"Um... I don't know. I saw him at EDC but, I mean, I guess that's how we met," I said.

"Aww, I really want to go there,"

"Where?" I asked.

"EDC,"

"You can't?" I asked, looking at her.

"No, too young,"

"Ahh, I see," I said, nodding my head in agreement. "I'll take you next year." I said with a wink.

She laughed and said okay. We sat there watching tv for a bit before Tori left to use the bathroom. She came back with my phone.

"Here, it's some girl named Jennifer Euston. She's calling on behalf of something called 'Orange is the New Black'," she said, handing me my phone.

"What the hell is that?" I asked her before I put the phone up to me ear. Tori just shrugged.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi! Is this Ruby Rose?" the lady on the other end said.

"Yes this is she," I said a bit confused. I put her on speaker so that Tori could hear.

"Okay hi! I'm the casting director for Orange is the New Black and I thought you would be an awesome candidate for our new season," Jennifer said.

"Um I mean I guess. But why me?" I asked.

"Well you just have this aura about you and I think that the badass looking side of you will definitely fill our new spot. I've had so many others call and apply for it but I saw you in a recent Australian magazine and I really want you to take the part. I canceled everyone else's request,"

I was thrilled that they wanted but a bit confused as to how they even knew my name.

"Okay is be glad to come,"

"Great can you come tomorrow?" she asked. Shit.

"No I'm unavailable tomorrow. I have a modeling competition. And after that day, I'm leaving for the winning people to travel for four weeks. So you'd have to wait till I get back,"

"Well how do you know you'll win?" Jennifer asked.

"Um I've won every year since I started. The only threat I might have to not winning is my girlfriend," I said. Tori laughed and shook her head.

"Well I think we can wait. Just give me a call when you get back from your trip and good luck!" she said. We hung up after that and I looked up to see Tori smiling me.

"What?" I questioned her intentions.

"Nothing, just a little shocked,"

"Same. I have no idea what the hell just happened," I said laughing to myself. "But I have a pretty good idea of what my intentions are right now."

I leaned over and kissed her. Her lips were sweet, tasted of honey. But she did just drink a lemon and honey tea. I placed my hand on her cheek and deepened the kiss.

We stayed like this for a while. Then I parted from her. She put her head in my lap and stared at the tv.

"What are we?" she asked. I knew what she was talking about.

"I want you to be my girlfriend but only if you except it," I said. She shifted her head to look up at me. I brushed a piece of her hair out of her face.

"I accept it," she said as she moved up and placed a kiss on my lips. I smiled to myself before we both drifted off into a quiet sleep.

A/N

Yeah I know this is a short chapter but I've been having some serious writers block recently and idk what to write for either of my stories. It's really throwing me off. If anyone has any good ideas, please inbox me because I am dead stuck. in not kidding. I have absolutely NO CLUE what to do next. So much as to that I might put the story on hold.

Although, you do remember how Ruby told Tori about the scar? Well I think I might be introducing some new characters.
