The sun dipped lower in the sky as it cast a warm, golden glow on the park bench where Lisa sat. The scattering of leaves beneath her feet seemed to mirror the turmoil inside her chest. She clenched her hands together tightly, her knuckles turning white, and took a deep breath.

"Qian," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "I need to tell you something."

He looked at her with those earnest brown eyes that had always made her feel seen and valued. A knot formed in her throat as she forced herself to continue.

"Look, I care about you deeply, but not in the way you want me to. I can't be your girlfriend or your lover, Qian. I just...can't." Her voice cracked, and she felt tears prickling at the corners of her eyes.

Qian blinked, his expression changing from surprise to hurt. "You don't love me?" he asked, his voice barely audible.

"No," Lisa admitted, swallowing hard. "But I would still like to be friends. You mean so much to me, and I don't want to lose our friendship over this."

Qian stared at her for what felt like an eternity, emotions playing across his face like a stormy sea. Finally, he spoke. "So, you're saying you'd rather settle for friendship than risk losing me altogether? That I'm not worth the effort?"

"Qian, no!" Lisa's heart raced. This isn't what she meant at all. "That's not what I'm saying. I just... I don't have romantic feelings for you. But our friendship is still incredibly important to me."

Before either of them could say anything else, Lisa's mother appeared, her face flushed and her brow furrowed with worry. "Lisa, are you okay? I saw you two talking, and I figured something was wrong."

"Mom!" Lisa cried, mortified. "You were eavesdropping?"

"Lisa, I'm sorry," her mother said, her voice soft and concerned. "I just... I overheard what you said, and I thought I should step in."

"Mom, this is a private conversation. Qian and I were just talking, and I need to clear things up with him first."

"Lisa told me she doesn't love me," Qian interjected, his voice bitter. "But she wants us to be friends. Apparently, I'm not worth the risk of losing altogether."

"Qian, that's not true!" Lisa felt desperation clawing at her insides. How could everything have gone so wrong so quickly?

"Lisa," her mother said gently, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Whatever decision you make, I'll support you. But I think it's important for both of you to understand each other's feelings clearly. Misunderstandings can lead to hurt and confusion."

"Thank you, Mom," Lisa whispered, grateful for her mother's wisdom despite the awkward intrusion.

"Qian," she began again, her voice firmer this time. "Please don't misunderstand me. I value our friendship more than anything. It's not about settling or risks; I simply don't have romantic feelings for you. That doesn't mean I don't care deeply for you or that our friendship isn't important. Can we still be friends?"

Qian stared at her for a moment, his gaze searching her face for any hidden meaning. Then, finally, he nodded. "Okay," he said quietly. "Friends."

BUt she was happy that her mom was finally trying to understand her again. It was a call from hybe, For her and Jennie to leave for Hybe for new collab between Bts, Stray Kids , Itzy and Twice. And guess who was upset now after seeing Sana with Taehyung?

Jennie clenched her fists, the urge to confront Sana growing stronger as she watched them laugh together. Lisa noticed her friend's agitation and reached out to touch her arm gently.
