Meanwhile, Taehyung went back to his apartment, feeling like an idiot for not being clearer about his intentions earlier. He showered to wash off the sweat and stress of the day, then sat down at his laptop to write some more, hoping to clear his head. His fingers hovered over the keys for a moment before he started typing, capturing the events of the day in vivid detail for his next bestselling novel. The click-clack of his keyboard filled the quiet space as he worked into the night, fueled by a newfound determination to prove to Jennie that she was worth much more than any misunderstanding. He paused occasionally to sip on bourbon, the burn soothing his nerves and sending warmth through his veins.

The house was silent as Jennie fell asleep, her mind still reeling from the events of the day. She dreamt of Taehyung's hands on her body, but his words ringing in her ears - "You are everything I've ever wanted." It was a messy mix of emotions she couldn't make sense of yet, but she knew one thing for sure: she deserved better than this confusion.

In the morning, Taehyung woke up with a pounding headache, his empty liquor bottle on the floor beside him. He groaned, realizing what he had done and how he might've had hurt Jennie. He dressed quickly and went to her house with a bouquet of flowers and an apology note, hoping to make amends before it was too late.

As he rang the doorbell, Jennie came to the door in a bathrobe, her hair still wet from the shower. She looked at him warily, her eyes red-rimmed from crying. He could see how much pain he had caused by his actions last night. He forced himself to look into those deep pools of sadness that used to reflect back at him with joy and admiration.

"Jennie," he whispered, holding out the flowers. "I'm sorry for hurting you. Last night, I didn't mean to make things worse." His voice was raspy with regret.

She didn't say anything, just took the flowers and stepped aside, letting him in. They sat quietly for a moment, the air thick with tension. Then, she spoke up. "Look, Taehyung, I need some time. I don't know if I can...if I can do this with you again." Her voice broke as she said the words.

He nodded, understanding. "Of course. You deserve someone who will give you their full attention." He paused, taking a deep breath. "But I want you to know that what I said yesterday, about wanting to court you... I meant it." His eyes met hers pleadingly. "I thought you knew."

Jennie looked at him, surprised. That he would still care after what happened last night? It was too much to process.

"Court me?" she asked softly. "Why?"

Taehyung stepped closer, his heart in his throat. "Because you're everything I've ever wanted. You're talented, kind, beautiful...and I want to spend every moment with you." He took a deep breath. "I want to take you on dates, hold your hand in public, introduce you to my family...be by your side at events...be your partner."

Her eyes widened, hope blossoming in her chest. "You...you would?" she asked softly, her voice barely audible.

He nodded, his voice thick. "Yes, I would."

She took a shaky breath, wiping away a tear. "I don't know what to say," she admitted.

He leaned in, cupping her cheek gently, their breath mingling. "Please give me a chance to prove myself to you," he whispered. "To show you how serious I am."

She couldn't help but lean into his touch, her heart beating faster. "Okay," she whispered back, pulling away slightly. "But no more hiding things from me."

They both smiled shyly, a newfound understanding between them. "Deal," he agreed.

As they sat there, lost in each other's gaze, the scent of jasmine filled the air, reminding them of the intense emotions that had been unleashed and the new path they were about to take together. The sound of their hearts beating in sync filled the silence as they slowly stood up, their hands intertwined. "I think we should start with a clean slate," Jennie suggested.

Taehyung nodded, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. "Yes, I agree." They walked out of the tea house, hand in hand, their steps lighter than before, ready for whatever lay ahead.

Jennie rested her head on his shoulder as they strolled down the bustling street, relishing the warmth of his touch. She couldn't believe this was real; she was suddenly aware of every sensation—the soft fabric of his shirt against her fingertips, the rhythm of his steps, the whisper of the wind through her hair. They stopped at a flower stand and Taehyung picked a small bouquet of yellow daisies for her, his fingers lingering on the petals. "These reminded me of you," he said with a smile.

As they walked again, Jennie pressed the flowers to her nose, inhaling their sweet scent, feeling the world become brighter. They sat on a park bench, watching people go by while sharing a bag of popcorn, their laughter mixing with the chatter around them. It felt surreal but wonderful all at once.

When it started to rain softly, they ran for cover under an overhang, their closeness intensifying as they shared an umbrella. Their laughter turned to giggles when they got cotton candy, its sweet taste dancing on their tongues. They found themselves at a movie theater, curling up together in the plush seats, lost in a romantic comedy that made their hearts ache and soar. Taehyung held her hand throughout, his thumb rubbing soothing circles on her skin.

Afterward, they found themselves at a small cafe, sipping hot chocolate and talking until late into the night. Jennie felt like she could talk to him about anything, and he listened intently, his eyes never leaving hers. She couldn't remember ever feeling this comfortable before. "Thank you for today," she whispered, her words muffled by the steam from her cup. He grinned, leaning in to press a soft kiss on her forehead before replying, "Anytime, love."

As they walked back to the station, hand in hand, Jennie couldn't help but steal glances at him - his messy hair falling into his beautiful eyes, his lips turned up in a soft smile. She wanted nothing more than to kiss him right then and there but held back, still trying to process everything.

Back on the train, they shared headphones to listen to their favorite playlist, their bodies swaying to the music in unison. Their legs brushed against each other, sending electric shockwaves through her body. When they got off, they stood close together, neither one wanting the night to end. "Can I see you again?" His voice was barely a whisper, almost as if he was scared of the answer.

Jennie smiled shyly, her heart doing flip-flops. "I would like that," she breathed out. He let out a relieved sigh and pulled her into a warm hug, his fingers lingering on her shoulder blades. "Thank you, Jennie." They pulled apart slowly, reluctant but grinning from ear to ear. With one last look, they went their separate ways, promising to meet again soon.

The whole day had felt like a dream, and Jennie couldn't believe it was real. She replayed every moment over and over in her mind, a smile never leaving her face. She finally understood why Taehyung had been hesitant; she'd never thought of him that way before either. But now, everything had changed. The way he looked at her, the way he touched her, the way he made her feel - it was all new and exciting.

Jennie couldn't wait for their next date, which was a movie night at his place. She spent hours getting ready, trying on different outfits and applying makeup meticulously. When she arrived at his doorstep, she felt butterflies in her stomach like never before. He opened it wearing sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt, looking handsome as always. She laughed nervously and blushed as he invited her inside.

They cuddled on the couch under a blanket, popcorn between them as they watched an old romcom. She laughed at all the right places while he stole a few kisses here and there. His lips were soft and sweet, unlike anything she'd ever imagined. When the movie ended, they moved to the kitchen to make hot cocoa. He hummed as he stirred the mug, creating sweet aromas that filled the air.

"Do you want marshmallows in yours?" His voice was raspy from how close they were standing.

"Yeah please," she breathed out, not taking her eyes off him. He sprinkled them on top and handed it to her before taking a sip of his own. Their eyes met over the mugs, and they both knew what was about to happen.

He set his down on the counter and pulled her towards him, his lips finding hers with ease this time around. It was like fireworks going off as they explored each other's mouths, their tongues dancing together delic tely like skilled ballet dancers. She felt his hands run through her hair, gently pushing it back from her face before trailing down her back to rest on her waist. This was it - their moment.
