Reaping day

Lucille laid on the mattress she hadn't really slept.Who could it was reaping day her stomach was in knots. It was her last reaping, she was 18 this year after today she was free.But she couldn't help but worry not just for herself but for her cousins katniss and prim.What if either of their names were chosen.

Lucille sighed as she got up,she glanced around the room as she slowly rose from the bed she shared with her two cousins katniss and prim.Her cousins had gotten up early she thought.

Lucille peaked out the bedroom her cousin katniss was finishing bath .Katniss glanced up at from her scrubbing .Katniss shook her head ,"come on lucky bird lets get going ...we need to get ready for the reaping ".

Lucille got undressed before she grimaced at the contact with the cold water." Ahh why is it so cold!"Lucille complained. Katniss rolls her eyes before snarkly replying, "It would have been warmer if you have gotten up early like I did". Lucille glared at her cousin katniss as she helps Lucille scrub clean.After a few minutes ,Lucille is out of the tub and getting dressed.She looks in the mirror,. she is wearing her grandmothers reaping dress this year since its her last year.Hopefully it will bring her luck in not being reaped.Katniss came up behind she finishes Lucille's hair which is braided partly on top almost like a crown with the rest cascading down her back .Katniss left her to help prim get dressed and reassure her more.She had nightmare that morning she got picked.Poor kid Lucille thought glancing at prim .It was her first reaping but Lucille  last.

Lucille fixed her dress nervously while glancing at her reflection.
