18. ROADTRIP

HI THERE! I'M HAPPY BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THIS IS LONG. ANYHORAN THANK YALL FOR WAITING FOR MY UPDATES. IT MEANS A LOT TO ME. I TRY TO AS MUCH AS I CAN BUT IT'S DIFFICULT WHEN YOU ARE SICK ALL THE TIME, HAVE DANCE, HAVE TONS OF HOMEWORK, AND HAVE WRITERS BLOCK SO YA...THIS CHAPPIE MOVES REAL FAST. Britney's POV

We have to leave. Now.

"Hey Jeanne! Don't you worry bout it, we just had a tiny house fire, that's all..."

"Tiny! Tiny doesn't make life smell like steak!" she rambles on and on.

I shoot a look at Louis to shut her up. He casually puts his hand over her mouth as she continues her muffled speech.

I clear my throat, "Everyone, we're going camping!" I shout, "Go pack your bags and meet back down here in an hour. I will explain everything in the car! Understood? GO!" Confused voices walk/run up the stairs and go pack.

I take a pink duffel and stuff in half my closet, along with body wash and shampoo, and other hygienic stuff. I slip into a pair of worn out jeans and put my blue "Hi there" tee shirt on. I quickly tie my hair into a decent ponytail, slip on a pair of sneakers and grab my backpack. I stuff extra clothes and supplies in it. Just in case.

I skip down the stairs with my duffel and backpack, tripping down the last step but stabilizing myself in the end. Nobody is downstairs yet.. Slowpokes. I go into the garage and load the car with my bags, filling up a cooler with water, ice, and snacks. 

Lily and Haleigh are waiting so they help me also. I tell Trey to go yell at the guys (especially Zayn) and Lily to yell at the girls to hurry up. The sooner we leave the better it'll be.

Only Haleigh can actually drive so I decide we will take the white van (I know, serial rapist). It can fit 11 people so one person will just have to sit on a lap. Oh well.

In the next ten minutes, everyone's bag's are in and Liam is directing everyone to their spots. Haleigh driving, Zayn shotgun. Niall, Britney, Alexis on Harry's lap. Lily, Louis, Jeanne. Macy, Liam, Trey.

"ROADTRIP" Alexis shouts

"Are we ready to go?" Haleigh asks.

"Did everyone use the bathroom?" Liam this time.

"READY!!!" we shout in unison

"Seat belts, so we can be safe" Alexis says, tempting me into the dora song...

DORA DORA DORA THE EXPLORER, DORA. BOOTS AND SUPERCOOL EXPLORADORA. WE NEED YOUR HELP! GRAB YOUR BACKPACK! LET'S GO! JUMP IN! VAMONOS! YOU CAN LEAD THE WA-AY!!!!!

"SHUT YOUR MOUTHS!" Macy hollers

"Someone's not in a good mood" Jeanne says, oh she's gonna get it...

The words they are shouting are incomprehensible so Trey breaks it up by doing some weird clicking sound with his mouth. 

"Guys please, for the love of chocolate, it's gonna take at least 4 hours to get there so calm the fudge down!" I shout, trying to keep the situation in control.

The silence lasts for a couple of minutes and finally people start to distract themselves. Some are talking (Macy and Liam, Jeanne and Lily), others are playing games on their phones (Trey and Louis), some play games like ispy (Niall and I), and Harry and Alexis are taking weirdo pictures of each other...  Poor Zayn is keeping Hals company while she drives.

"I spy something green.." Niall says

"Is it a.. tree?" I say for about the 5th time in the game.

"YES!" he does a little happy dance, "I'm bored now. And hungry"

"YOU'RE ALWAYS HUNGRY" multiple voices reply.

"I'll get you a sandwich babe" I tell him, leaning back and grabbing a little baggie with a nice big prosciutto and Swiss cheese sandwich in it. This action makes Hazza laugh.. Dirty boy. I hand it to Niall and he gives me a small peck on the nose, and starts to devour his snack. 

"Ig's so goot.. .mhhh.. lide Nantos" (It's so good... mhhh.. like Nandos) he mutters, so it comes out weird.

I playfully roll my eyes at him. He's always talking bout how there's no place like Nandos, and that one day, we will all go to Washington, or London, or anywhere and get some.

"So.. Why exactly are we going camping?" Trey asks suddenly. Everybody awaits the answer.

"Oh right, I forgot. Well you see, Adrianna is after almost everyone now so in order to stay safe, and not let anything like what happened to Trey happen to the rest of us. So for now, it is safer to stay out of Lendtown and let her.. cool down, you know?"

Haleigh gives me a 'are you ok, I'm worried' looks from her rear view mirror. I nod. I'm slowly getting over this whole kidnapped by Adrianna thing...

I look up a location for the town that we're headed to on my phone and call the number. When it finally picks up, I am greeted by an automated machine. Oh yay, nothing like talking to a robot. I slowly but surely order a sum of 4 cabins: 3 with two queen beds, and 1 with one. 

Most of us will be sleeping in couples.

I just hope that our parents don't go crazy about how much this is gonna cost! We have no choice but to sleep in the same rooms! It would be too expensive otherwise.

Zayn goes to turn of the radio because the car has calmed down, everyone seems to be settling. Macy is sleeping with her head on Liam's shoulder! How sweet! Contrarily to them are Harry and Alexis who are laying limp on top of one another while snoring like wild animals.

Lily and Jeanne are laughing quietly at Louis poking Trey. And Niall and I have our heads side to side, touching, and our fingers entwined, resting on my leg.

I wish we could all stay like this forever. It's blissful.

And then it all goes black.
