After the summer went away, soon after was getting settled into the schooling that was on the ship. It took some time due to Mom and Dad trying to get me signed up. But once Mom took me to the classroom of the ship, all the student's eyes stared at me. I hated it, it felt like my body was on fire or like sharp daggers. The eyes followed me as Mom, and I went to the teacher. I looked up at the other woman, who had a few streaks of grey in her brown hair, and her face showed a little as her green eyes looked down with a greeting smile. "I'll take her from here. I'll see you after school." She looked back at Mom. "Alright then." She said as she left. I Watched her leave. I always hated it when my parents left me.
Especially with school, as I looked back at the different species of students who didn't leave their eyes off of me. The teacher's dark-skinned hand scoots me forward as the burning eyes stay on me. I gulped as I could feel my heart racing and as I kept my hands close together. "As everyone knows I am Mrs. Needle and I am a Tefling, so don't mind the horns and tail. Can you introduce yourself?" She asked. I would speak but the overwhelming fear was rather heavy.
I moved back, closer to Mrs. Needle. "Oh, a shy one I see. Well students this is Mo. She will be having classes with us from now on." She spoke. Her tail pushed me back forward. "Let me show you to your desk, it will be for the rest of the year." Mrs. Needle spoke, as she took me to the empty desk. I took my seat, as some of the student's eyes were taken off of me but I could feel the burning still. I would like it if Wish was here, at least I would know someone and someone I feel comfortable talking to, then a room full of strangers. My eyes looked around at the different students seeing everyone's eyes shifted back to the front where Mrs. Needle stood and started the lesson of the day.
Halfway through the class, we were taken to the Holodeck, and Mrs. Needle turned into a playground for us to play on. We went off to play, while we played, I noticed a small portion of the class shuttle together, so I got curious and went to see what they were doing. Maybe they were going to play a game. I went over to them. "Playing a game over here?" I asked, and they looked over at me. "Yeah, but it's a boy game." One said, sternly. "But I am a boy," I said, I always felt like I was a boy. I wore the clothes; I did most things that boys did. My parents say it's just a tomboy, which I don't mind. I enjoy it. "No, you're not. You're a girl!" Another said. I sighed with slightly different, knowing I had to face the truth.
Mrs. Needle came over from hearing this. "Now, now, boys. Let Mo play in your game. The gender of a person shouldn't matter. It's what kind of person they are." She spoke. A few of them glared at me as I huffed. 'It's fine Mrs. Needle. I'll go play with the others." I said as I went back to the playground with the others.
After a while, we played we went back to the room, and went back to lessons and whatnot. Once it came to the end of class, it was time for our parents to come pick us up and go back home. When Mom picked me up, Mrs. Needle told her what happened at the playground, and Mom and she had a talk with me. How people are going to be like that, but I can be the way that I am, as long I don't change my body.
But the days continued into months, and one of the months I decided to cut my own hair, which Mom was not too happy about. Mostly, because of how uneven it was and get a real haircut. Now with my hair short, I felt happy, becoming more of a mascine look.
Soon years went by as kids grew and aged, just like everyone else. Over the course of a few years, I have been finding myself with gender identity and sexuality around the age of 17. With the lack of romance and sexual feelings. I identified myself as AroAce while the gender terms took a bit until it felt right and Agender won the gold ticket. Even to my pronouns, I like Them over She, but I don't mind, though I haven't told my parents that I legally changed my name, I hated the name Mo. It's a dead name to me now, but I like the name Samuel. So, I'll go by that now.
