Leonor
Aurelia was able to drive Philippa back home safely that night, and before they parted, the writer once again reassured her that she got nothing to worry about, and everything will be fine. They also talked about not being able to see each other for a few weeks or so, until any threat on her security will die down, a priority that Phillipa has said she understands the most.
She could remember the writer's exact words, taking her back to that same spot in the car where they were trying to see each other through the pale car light, being in the dark but being enlightened by just the mere presence of each other.
Being with someone who makes you feel the most safe makes all the difference.
"I'd rather see you on the news, than see you in person and knowing just being out there with me puts you in danger."
She had all the urge to argue, but remembering everything that happened, she understood how the writer must be feeling. It all came to her as a realization of both reality and necessity. She needed to look after her own security, making sure that the crown's future is ensured, while also making sure that she was not putting Phillipa's own security at stake being with her outside.
The next day, she joined her family for breakfast, and her father, who was worried that she may not had the appetite to go for any, surprisingly cast her a look as she settled on her seat beside her mother, facing Sofia from across the table.
"Parece que hoy estás de buen humor." (TL: It seems like you are in a good mood today.") "Que te parece?" Her father glance back at her mother.
"Tenia solamente un buen dormir, eso es." (TL: I just had a good night's sleep, that's all.") She replied, trying to hide the reddening of her cheeks. She knew she was blushing, remembering Phillipa's gentle brown eyes looking at her last night. Sofia must have noticed it, and had this knowing smile, but her sister didn't said a word.
"Sientes mejor?" (TL: Are you feeling better?) Her mother asked her, and she nodded, taking a sip of the orange juice.
"Pues, eso es bien, no?" (TL: Well, that's good, right?) The queen remarked, exchanging looks with her father, who was curiously looking at her, with a hint of a smile.
"Ha alguien hacia te sientes bien? Ha alguien te llamado?" " (TL: Has anyone made you feel better? Has someone called you?) Her father continues to tease her, and later on mentioning which one of her suitors might be it— Count Felix, Gabriel or Prince Hashim.
Her mother joined in by guessing which one of the three would it be and Leonor just laughed it off. This went on for a couple of minutes, her father smiling across the table, her mother softly laughing makes her eventually blushing, and she was glad that the conversation took off into another thing. At the end of their breakfast, her father made it sure that Aurelia's going to coordinate continuing her studies from the university here in the Palace for a week or so, and she just agreed to the things he mentioned.
A few weeks will pass by just quickly, yet deep inside she knows she can't wait for everything to go back to normal once again, and eventually, be in the writer's presence.
