Kakashi's POV

"Horse, Tiger....?"

"Fireball Jutsu."

"Serpent, Dragon, Hare, Tiger."

"Dragon Flame Jutsu."

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu"

"I know this..."

I look up from the textbook in my hands. The breeze blows Obito's hair in front of his visor, which he pushes up angrily, in an attempt to get his hair out of his face. It doesn't work, and the visor snaps back onto his face, directly hitting his nose. I rush over and check his face, making sure he isn't seriously hurt.

Obito's face is painted a beautiful pink color as I hold his face, and he yanks himself out of my grip, turning away from me and curling up into a little ball. His abrupt movement makes me fall onto the grass, dropping the textbook in front of me. His face turns to me in worry, but I just burst into laughter, holding my stomach as Obito retrieves the book and holds it in front of his face.

"W-why are you laughing?" he asks, his hands shaking so hard that I think he's scared or something. I straighten up, wiping a tear from my eye.

"I-i've never laughed this hard for a long time. You're funny Obito."

Again, he turns red and smacks me with the textbook, "Shut up..."

I take it from him, leafing through the pages. It's covered in scribbles and doodles within the margins, and my annoyance peaks, mostly at Obito. Why would anyone ruin such a good textbook?

Before I can ask him, he slams it closed, RIGHT ON MY FINGERS. I let out a small yelp of pain and pull down my mask, sucking my fingers, watching as Obito looks at me with renewed fluster.

I snarl at him, "What are you looking at?" Before he can answer, I continue sucking on my fingers, accidentally hitting them too far, rousing a small pained moan from me. I keep sucking, until the pain dies down a little, and I drag my sleeve across my face, making sure there's nothing left.

When I look back over, Obito's gone, and Minato Sensei is there, Rin close behind him, "We heard something so we came to check on you and Obito. Where is he?"

I shrugged, "I dunno. He was here just a couple of minutes ago..."

As if on cue, Obito returns, flushed and panting hard, his face red and exhausted. He collapses on the ground near Minato Sensei, breathing in short, wheezy pants, "I'm good!"

Rin leans over him nonetheless, feeling his forehead and wrapping him in a cool cloth, slowly propping him up against a tree, "You don't look fine..."

Minato Sensei also looks at him, "Maybe we should go home for the day. You look really tired Obi..." His face is its usual cheerful self with a slight bit of worry.

Again, he looks over at me, his eyes clouded over, "I-i'm fine..."

His eyes lock with mine, and I see some sort of want, like he wants something that's so close, but he just can't reach it. He looks pathetic. You have to be sharp when you're on the battlefield. Obito's about as sharp as a spoon.

Then, I see some other emotion within his eyes. A sort of ferocity that seems to say "I will get what I want, no matter what I have to do to get it."

He's not looking directly at me now, is he? He's not going to hurt me. He can't even fight that well!

Right?
