i got out of the car and was applauded.

hector approached me with a wad of cash in his hand and a pink slip in the other.

i turned to see torettos friends and dom himself clapping.

"to early dom" i sucked in a breath as i shrugged in a teasing manner.

"see this as a welcome back gift" dom put his hand on my shoulder and smiled.

"im ready to collect" i smirked as letty came into view. i shoved the money in my bra and winking at the latina in front of me.

"I believe this belongs to you" a voice calls from behind us. I chuckled and turn to the owner of the eclipse.

But my whole body stopped when my eyes land on my brother.

"Brian?" I mutter when the breath finally returned to my chest.

"You guys know each other?" Vince asked, stepping forward. his stance went ridged like he was an animal making itself bigger to scare off predator's 

If brian is out here, it means it's on some coppy business, and though I hated him I had the urge to cover for him.

"The name on the pink slip" I held up the paper, his name scribbled across in a messy manner.

This answer seemed to satisfy them all.

I looked over to Brian's eclipse, the smoke puffing from under the hood, the under tray of the exterior was dropped and sparked slightly.

"It's true. It is mine. But I don't have a need for a new car so... here ya go" I handed to slip to dom, who cocked his head. His hrows furrowing in reassurance. I smiled and pushed it further into his hand.

"Cops" someone yelled. Panic shoots through the crowd. People scrambled to their cars.

I raced for my car and sped towards the closest exit.

The streets were clogged with cars but the cops seemed to be targeting new models of cars.

Seeing as this was my first night out, I had to book a crappy motel.

I got home and sat, I hated sitting and doing nothing. So I got up and got back in my car to cruise the streets.

Luckily I did that because I found a stranded dom and brian walking along the highway.

I laughed and rolled down the window "need a ride?" Brian looked me in the eye, I raised a brow to challenge him but I knew whatever business he had here, he wasnt going to blow his cover just for a sibling argument.

"Life saver you are" dom smirked, walking over and opened the door, he looked back at my brother and nodded his head. Brian silently got in the back, climbing all over my console.

"How'd you get stranded" I say taking off and pulling up to a set of traffic lights. Dom gruffed "johnny tran and his woo tang clan caught us on their street"

I tsked, shaking my head "the trans are slimey fucks" I tightened my grip on the steering wheel.

"Couldn't have said it better" dom muttered, drumming his fingers along to the stereo. Brian sat silently in the back, looking at my through the mirror, his eyes where studying mine.

I looked back to the road and see a cop car just chilling on the side of the road.

Uh oh.

"Hold on guys" I say, brian sighs under his breath and dom grabs onto the bar on the side of the door.

I push the clutch in and change gears before increasing my speed and turn the corner quickly.

First night of freedom and they're trying to put me back.

Dom instructs me to his house and I pull up across the road "let me treat you to a beer for being our savior" dom offered leaning through the window. I laughed "nah man. I'm good. Sober" I play with the chip I had around my neck.

"Oh its all good. Look, come around to Harry's tomorrow" dom tapped the door before turning.

"See you brian. You come too. You owe me a 10 second car" he called over his shoulder to brian who climbed into the front seat.

Brian gave him a thumbs up before I pulled away from the curb and drove off down the road.

"What the fuck are you doing out" brian cursed at me as I cruised down the road.

"What the fuck are you doing sniffing around the torettos" I sneered back at my older brother.

Brian stayed quite which caused me to chuckle "I know theyre on your pig list" I turned the corner and continued on the road until I got to the lights.

"You know shit" brian said, I ignored him "then tell me" I spoke.

"Dom is a top suspect on a case I'm working" he muttered, turning to face Me.

"Right of course your working a case. You never change" I gripped the steering wheel tighter.

"That's right. I'll never change. But you can. Help me with this case and we'll wipe your record. And wipe the time your meant to be doing now"

Well this changes everything
