About a week later Lin Manuel Miranda was sitting in his office watching some audition tapes. He still had about 56 left of the 234 submitted tapes. However there was one that stood out the most to him. "Hey Alex can you bring up Alastor Devigns audition again?" He asked his friend who was helping him and Anthony with the audition. "Sure!" Alex said. He pulled up the audition and hit play. They watched thoroughly about five times over. "There's something about him that fits John Laurens. He looks like a John Laurens." Lin said to Alex and Anthony. "He does. He looks young. Like he could play an older part but also like he could play Philip." Anthony said. "I agree. Plus he's got pipes man." Alex said softly. "Oh my god yes! This kid can sing. But do you really think the worlds ready for a trans male playing John and Philip? I know I'm ready but I don't want this kid getting hurt." Lin said worriedly. "Sometimes the world needs a shock of culture. Let's keep him in the yes pile." Alex said smiling. The three nodded and added Alastors name to the yes pile. They then headed to watch more in person auditions but after a long day of auditions Lin had his mind made up.

Alastor was just laying on the couch with Jules and Amelia sitting on the floor watching Beetlejuice. Alastor hadn't even heard his phone ring until Jules smacked him with a squishmallow. "Answer yer phone dammit!" Jules said laughing. "Alright alright. Hello? Yes this is Alastor. Oh! Oh!" Alastor said putting his phone on speaker while motioning to his friends to listen. "Hi this is Alex and Lin calling to give you some good news!" Alex said on the other end. "Ok." Alastor said shyly. "We wanted to let you know that we've made a final decision and are happy to announce that you are our new John Laurens/ Philip Hamilton!" Lin said excitedly from the other end. "Holy. Shit." Amelia said softly. "Amelia! I'm so sorry for her language Mr. Miranda." Jules said. Alastor was too shocked to talk. "Call me Lin! It's ok. Understandable I can see why. Is Alastor still there?" Lin asked. "I-I'm here." Alastor stuttered. "Good! I wish to congratulate you on landing the audition and I will be sending out more information soon. Is this a good number to reach you?" Lin asked. "Y-yes. Thank you Mr. Miranda. This means a lot to me." Alastor said shyly. "No problem kid. Welcome to the Hamilfam!" Lin said before hanging up. Alastor couldn't believe it. "AHHHHH!" Jules and Amelia screamed. "Did that just happen?" Alastor asked still not believing it. "Yes! You're going on Broadway! I now know a Broadway star!" Amelia said giggling. "I now have a soon to be famous bestie." Jules said happily. "If I can keep the part." Alastor said doubting himself. "If anyone can it'll be you." Jules reassured him. "Thank you Jules. Thank you Amelia. So... now we have to find a place in NYC." Alastor smiled. The next few weeks would be an absolute whirlwind.
