For hundreds and thousands of years, humans and dragons were foes, enemies, nemesis's. Bloodshed and war between both species, all countries. Hybrids usually stayed by dragon's. Humans stayed solitary and alone to themselves and themselves only, other species being disposed of or wrongfully imprisoned and tortured for their own biddings."Bring us home, Devil."
The dragon's pupils narrowed to sharp slits, narrowed with aggression and hostility, snarling under it's breath. Being chained down, and held down by wood, metal, and chains as the boat was set to sea. The dragon's wings, body, tail, head, neck, arms, and legs were all unable to move. The sea air already salty. Its pitch black smooth scales shines like stars as the sun's light reflected against the waters. He whom watched the scene from above as the army of ships went out to sea, and the dragon imprisoned for their own benefits. Watching with regret and guilt. He whom caused such with lies had been eating him alive as he watched until the boats were seen no more, and the seas were empty. He whom showed empathy, and loyalty, was the same whose own species who he had betrayed such a being.
The water swayed and waved, it was calm for now. As he was being used to locate a nest his 'bestfriend's' people had been trying to find for hundreds of years. Let him be, as he looks down at the wood plated floor below him. Struggling no more and finding defeat. Feeling defeated.
As, dear dragon, had been held down and waited until his own time was no more as the boats moved with the deep waters. Heading toward the nest, heading towards their death dear dragon knew very well. He knew what was to come, yet..did he? He knew what inhabited there, and the huge disadvantage humans held against such queen. Dear dragon, showed remorse, loyalty, and grace, yet was gifted with hostility and imprisonment. Treated as a pest. Must I say much more how dear dragon is much more? As fire and blades clash against each other instead with each other had burned the land of peace. Had destroyed and held at the stake, as peace had been no more and only fear was struck into the hearts of those who were brought down from the mighty skies and killed for ranking. Dear Dragon, knew so much of the world he had lived in, yet not of he whom showed remorse.
He whom stayed watching from the docks remained, the wind unchanging, like his guilt. As the wind carried his regret, yet it never left. He whom let dear dragon go, had tried to knock sense and knowledge, yet was pushed away and silenced. He relied on dear dragon for an escape and friendship, as if a tree had been replanted and had lived through the drought and storms. He whom he thought he had lost his best friend, father, and his own kind. He whom even the moon would not shine his darkness away, and the sun not present. She whom understood, as she discovered kindness to such a nemesis through the sight of clouds and tranquility. She had to lift such spirits high, as to save this world, and to stop this same war that had been present for hundreds of thousands of years.
As though the sun raised high, and the moon had been out of the picture, dear dragon was in a bad mood. His bad mood hiding his fear, he whom is feared most, is feeling fear. Surrounded by humans, on a boat. Heading to such place that held nothing but a negative future ahead. As the start was on one unlucky night were dear dragon's freed was shot down, starving until he whom came across the one who had shot him down. The intent of murder soon had left him as regret filled within and instead of cutting out dear dragon's heart, cut the ropes of the net that held dear dragon down.
My intent of protection, had soon become my regret. My favorite person, companion,..a human, now unable to do the same for me as I now trapped myself among humans. I can smell my death upcoming through the sea's salty stench. Let my luck please come through as I'm feeling guilt for not leaving when I should've, when I was told and pushed to.
Let dear dragon's wings go, let he whom desires freedom, leave. The sun may shine brighter when left from such a life, an escape from a life in which his bestfriend is denied and has the unfortunate consequences for befriending him.
Let paper burn, and rise from the ashes, as this violence will come up again and seize the species together. As even dear dragon could not do such alone. Dear dragon who has seen the corners of the sky and clouds, storms and lightning, space and time. As he had been alone for far too long, and had a chance of friendship. May he proceed in such a place of need, yet consequences. May the howling winds foretell and pass around such rumor, until it has settled within the sea, and twilight zone. Within the lands soil and trees.
He whom stood watching, had not wanted the future to occur, but the present to freeze and stay the way life remained. Still and quiet. He whom had been casted away from society due to not benefiting those around him, once loved, now hated once again. As his strengths were the only thing 'loved' about him as now he was regretting not speaking up first before his father.
"How crazy may life get until I get my wish? How hard must I try to finally be 'useful'? How hard must the water tread until it becomes smooth sailing? How difficult may the winds become until the lightning settles down and the sky is clear. How hot may the sun make the earth until returns to normal? How dark may the nights be until it's get brighter?"
He whom asked himself as both him and dear dragon were left to misery.
To die in the hands of a foreign man.
A/N - Hello, this story will be based off of HTTYD (How to Train Your Dragon) I'm clearly not the owner of the movies, shows, books and franchise itself. I'm simply a writer who loved both history and httyd and thought it would be a good way to combine the two to make a story you're interested in. Thank you and enjoy. <33
