It was the next day, and the island looked bare, the sun was hidden and the air felt misty. Most of the people there were gone, leaving to find the dragon's nest. Out to sea, to their potential death. The sky was gray, the clouds loomed over as if they were on the verge of just dropping gallons of water. Mongolia opened the doors to the large ring, overhead were chains as the roof so no dragons may escape. "Welcome to dragon training, where you guys will be learning how to murder humanity's greatest enemy," Mongolia said with pride. Russia was present, along with Iran, and Iraq, both twins, Afghanistan, Peru, Scotland, Romania, Ghana, and Nigeria. All 9 teenagers walked in, looking at their surroundings in awe, except Russia who looked as if he was annoyed. But, in reality, he was thinking about the night fury he had encountered yesterday. He hid his awe about the dragon, being one of the very very lucky few who have lived to see a night fury.
He could tell the tale, but on the other hand, he wanted to keep it a secret for no reason. Russia couldn't help but feel interested in the dragon- that quickly changed when he didn't hear anything Mongolia was saying and let out the first dragon, a gronckle. Mongolia went over to the side, as the teenagers scrambled to get shields and axes or swords. Russia grabbed a shield and dropped the dagger he tried to grab when the dragon shot out fire at the twins, Iran and Iraq were fighting with each other. Yelling at each other and calling each other names. "Get your head out of the skies meat brain-" Iraq said to his brother, "Shut up asshole-" Iran replied before pushing Iraq away with his shield. Iraq fell to the floor, before realizing the dragon was coming right at him- Iran also noticed and pulled his brother away from the dragon as it fired and missed Iraq barely. Iraq panted from fear. Iran looked at the dragon as it went towards Afghanistan and Scotland. Iran then looked back down at his twin brother who was still on the ground panting. Iran pulled his brother up from the ground, and the two stayed close together.
"Those shields are good for another, noise, and make a lot of it!" Mongolia announced from above, Russia hadn't even noticed that Mongolia had left the ring and had been watching the scene from above. Peru, Romania, Ghana, and Nigeria immediately started banging their weapons against their shields. Making the dragon shake its head from side to side and their vision blurred. Afghanistan grabbed a hammer while the others were distracted, running beside the dragon and throwing it at its head. The dragon turned towards Afghanistan and started chasing them, Afghanistan's eyes widened very slightly, and started running. Peru threw his shield as if it were a frisbee, which hit the dragon's head as well. Russia froze, everyone was doing something, but him.
"Russia! What are you doing standing there?! Do something!" Afghanistan yelled as he was running away from the dragon as it chased, Russia panicked internally, the dragon was going to fire at Afghanistan, Russia panicked even more, running over, and before 'accidentally' dropping the dagger he used his shield to block the shot from hitting Afghanistan. The smell of dampness in the air was apparent and everyone seemed gloomy or frightened. Mongolia continued to watch from the top. Once the dragon went to Ghana and Nigeria Afghanistan pushed Russia away. "What?!" Russia asked, looking at Afghanistan with an expression of irritation. "You don't do shit- you'll just be even more of a disappointment to the island than you already are!" Afghanistan yelled before walking away. Even though Afghanistan was Russia's cousin, he was harsh. Though Russia knew why this was, he never got mad at Afghanistan for it whatsoever. Scotland went up to Russia, "I'm sorry about him, you know how he gets." Scotland apologized on Afghanistan's behalf, before offering a hand to help Russia up. Russia took it and just nodded. "Thanks, but it's fine. Af is always an asshole and moody." Russia shrugged it off. Mongolia stared at Russia for a moment, before looking at the dragon by Ghana and Nigeria. The twins and Peru went over.
Romania was very quiet and wasn't active the entire time. Russia had even forgotten he was there, yet he saw Romania behind the weapons stand. Walking over to him. "Romania?" Russia asked as he loomed over Romania, Romania jumped slightly, before turning around to Russia. She was the smallest out of the group and the only girl. She looked up at Russia, seemingly nervous. "Everything alright?" Russia asked in confusion. Romania looked past Russia, before looking back up at him. Romania signed in sign language, 'I want to know what happened to the night fury.' Russia got nervous, thinking she might've seen his encounter with the night fury. Romania, being mute got annoyed when Russia didn't say anything signing again, but faster due to frustration. 'Did you find it?' Russia just shook his head 'No', Romania looked at him, raising one eyebrow before smiling subtly and walking past Russia.
