EVANS POV:

It was first period, the bell had just rang. I was sitting in the back of the class behind lexi. Malachi was in the seat to her left.

For the past few days, everything has been super weird. And when I say everything, I mean Olivia. She hasn't spoken to me or stopped by lexis since. And I know, its only been two days...but she is almost always over at lexis. Its my favorite part of having lexis friends over, its always olivia. It sounds cheesy, but I love seeing her face. Why wouldn't I?

Shes beautiful.

Not just beautiful, Stunning.

Her long dark hair cascades down her back, her curls that frame her delicate features. Her eyes are a deep shade of brown, like chocolate, warm and Inviting. Her skin is smooth and unblemished, almost as porcelain. Not a single imperfection, just beauty.

Dont even get me started on her voice. Its like music to my ears, I could listen to her all day. Every word that falls from her lips is like a symphony, each syllable flowing together in perfect harmony.

And when she smiles, Its like the sun has come out from behind the clouds. Its a radiant, infectious smile that lights up her entire face and makes my heart skip a beat. I didn't know hearts could do that, until I met her...

...

I snapped out of my thoughts the second I noticed her enter through the door. As beautiful as ever, maybe even more so since the last time I saw her.

The outfit she was wearing caused me to take another glance. She was wearing a pair of denim shorts and a pretty blue tank top that had ruffles and a bow on the middle. Her sparkly blue earrings that made her eyes pop and the bright white air forces that looked like they had never been used. And the pale blue bow that held her hair up.

She made her way over to her seat, the desk to the right of lexi. I watched as she set her books and binders down.

After a few moments of silence, Madison leaned towards olivia, holding her phone up too olivias face. "vee, I saw the old videos you posted on your insta" she says "you are a really good dancer, I'm impressed"

Olivia gave a nervous smile while staring at the screen. It was an old video, one that I've seen already. I watched every video shes ever posted, dating back to 2019. She used to post a lot about dance, but eventually stopped posting anything at all. Now, its just pictures with lexi, liana, angie, or her dog.

I don't know why I'm feeling this way...

Shes just a girl.

Ive been through this before.

I should know better than to get attached, I should back off while I still can. But, I think its too late for that.

She glanced back at me, causing my head to turn away, looking back at her as she turned back to madison. "oh, thankyou. I don't really dance as much anymore" she says to madison "I left my old studio back in Miami. But, I try to practice often"

Madison slipped her phone back into her pocket as she smiled. "lucky for you, I happen to be captain of the dance team here at ridgewood. And I would be more than happy to let you try out" she says cheerily "I already know you can do it. But, you have to try out to keep it fair. After school, 3 o'clock? meet us in the dance studio next to the hallway that leads into the gymnasium"

I listened in, taking in the full extent of the conversation. Olivia gave a nervous expression, shrugging her shoulders. "I dunno....I might not be as good as everyone else" she says "plus, I don't really know anyone on the dance team so it might be awkward"
