LEXIS POV:
It was shortly before first period. Olivia and I had signed up last week to work the stand and sell candy grams at school for Valentines day.
We were currently making our way to the gymnasium where the rest of the people who volunteered are supposed to meet up so we can set up our stands outside and in the cafeteria to sell candy grams and Valentines merch.
For some reason, Ridgewood tends to over celebrate Valentines day. That's why in every class, everyone is either watching a movie or doing some kindve Valentines activity.
Now don't get me wrong, it's an appreciated holiday....but it's severely overrated. I don't know ANYONE who likes Valentines day more than olivia. She is absolutely obsessed with the idea of falling in love and getting gifted chocolates and flowers.
I don't really believe in true love, it seems a little sketchy?
But, I don't mind getting to hangout with vee all day instead of going to my classes.
As we entered the gym lobby, we stared over at the list, reading through the names of the people we would be around all day.

As we walked into the gymnasium, I immediately recognized everyone.
Mrs. McConnel was holding a clipboard and a pen, checking off our names as we walked in.
A bright smile formed over her face as she noticed us. "Lexi, olivia. Welcome girls, thank you so much for volunteering" she cheers "we really needed the help and frankly I am overjoyed to see your faces"•TIME SKIP• 30 MINUTES LATER
OLIVIAS POV:
There were six different tables set up around the school, four of them were outside in the quad, and two of them in the cafeteria.
Three people were working each table, and each table was assigned with certain jobs and things to do.
The two tables in the cafeteria were meant for selling candy grams and roses with heartfelt messages tied to them. Mrs. McConnel had assigned juniors and seniors to work those tables.
Lexi, Madison and I were selling candy grams. Our table was decorated neatly with pink and red hearts and glitter.
Angie, liana and nate were working the table on the end nearest to the building. They were selling cupcakes that liana had baked. The cupcakes were chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla, with pink and red frosting and heart sprinkles.
Jocelyn, Kayla, and Avery were working the table next to us on our right. They were selling roses with heartfelt messages tied to them with little ribbons.
Addison, summer and andy were working the table next to us on our left. They were handing out ribbons, bandanas, bracelets, necklaces, flower crowns, red and pink heart sunglasses, and fuzzy headbands for people to wear.
...
Most of the teachers had brought there classes outside to the quad for the day. It was about seventy degrees and a nice breeze so it made for a good day to be outside.
Almost all of the students were wearing pink or red and any kind of heart apparel today.
Lexi was wearing a red tube top with straps that tied into bows on her shoulders and a pair of baggy blue jeans and red converse. She had on a red beaded necklace and red heart sunglasses.
