"Sirius Black," Diana says with an annoyed tone as she turns from her place in front of the fridge now extremely aware she is in a towel, and only a towel.
"Well if it isn't the Diana Kent'' Sirius says with a smirk playing on his lips.
*Flashback*
"I will be there in one second," Diana yells down to the water.
Diana quickly makes her way to her cabin to put her novel away before she meets the rest of the campers at the lake.
She gently places the book down when she notices a note poking out. She slowly slides the note out, and on the small piece of paper, she reads.
"Meet me in the meadow after dinner darling? - S.B."
Her stomach erupts with butterflies as she takes in the message. Sirius Black had written her a note, the boy she has had a crush on all summer wanted to meet her in her special spot.
She slips the note back into her novel as she runs out to the lake, a smile still dancing across her lips.
Diana spent the rest of the afternoon absolutely giddy to meet up with Sirius. After dinner, she ran back to her cabin to put on her favourite dress. It was deep black with small white flowers scattered throughout and cut just above the knee. But the real reason she was wearing it was that it made her blue eyes pop, well that and her tits. Once she was dressed, she made her way to the bathroom to put a thin line of eyeliner to bring her whole outfit together, making sure she looked her best for the boy.
Florence Green, her close friend wished her luck as she left the cabin, she then walked at a decent pace not wanting to appear too eager.
As she approached the meadow, she could see Sirius resting against the tree where she read almost every day. The butterflies reappeared once she made eye contact with him.
"You came," he said, sounding slightly nervous. "Yeah, I got your note," she said with an insecure smile, what a dumb thing to say she thinks to herself, of course, she got the note why else would she be standing there all dressed up?
She is brought back from her thoughts when Sirius clears his throat "You clean up nice" he says now regaining his confidence, Diana blushed "Thank you".
Abruptly, he takes a step closer. Diana's heart drops, not knowing what to do she stays put. He reaches his hand to the side of her face to push a loose piece of hair behind her ear. He leans in slowly whispering "I'm sorry" then quickly backs away.
She looks at him as if asking why he is apologizing when he has done nothing wrong. She then hears a small snicker from behind the bush as she is bombarded with a gallon of honey being thrown on her.
She gasps as the substance drenches her, but it wasn't over yet. She hears footsteps thumping behind her, and when she turns, she is met with a load of feathers being tossed on her.
Diana stands there completely stunned at the events that just took place, the boys who brought this upon her were long gone, sprinting back to their cabins laughing like it was the funniest thing they've seen. She looks down at her now ruined dress, as she lets out a small sob.
Behind her she hears Sirius chuckling, she turns back to face him, tears in her eyes she speaks slowly "Why?" her voice breaks betraying the small bit of confidence she wanted to display.
"Prank Wars," he says, still laughing clearly not acknowledging the pain behind Diana's eyes.
"Why are you crying? It was just a little prank", he smirks.
Completely flabbergasted at how calm and neutral he was being, Diana looks at her dress now completely ruined, then dead in his eyes, anger now surging through her veins "How could you," she spat.
His face dropped slightly but bounced back as quickly as it fell. After one more look, due to her emotions betraying her, she walked off back to her cabin.
Later that night she could hear two of the boys who had pranked her chatting outside her cabin window. "I can't believe it worked, Sirius was right she definitely has a thing for him," the one says, "Well she definitely doesn't now" the other boy responds.
Diana's stomach dropped when she learned that Sirius knew she had a thing for him and used it against her. Looking over at her spoiled dress and then to the mirror she saw her eyeliner run down her cheeks, and slowly began to weep.
That night in the shower, she made a promise to herself that she would never get close enough to Sirius Black, that way he could never hurt her like he did that day.
*End of Flashback*
"Nice towel darling," he says in a low tone pulling her from her thoughts,
Clearly annoyed she says "Yeah? It's the same one I used to clean off the feathers and honey two summers ago," she says with a cocky tone, knowing damn well he knows exactly what she is referring to.
"Still hung up on that now are we?" he says with a roll of his eyes.
"No of course not, your half-assed apology really did the trick," she says in a sarcastic tone.
Sirius is about to respond when the cabin door flies open interrupting him as two boys stumble in completely out of breath.
"Beat you Prongs," the tall brunet says as he gasps for air. "False, I got in first Moony" the other brunet speaks breathlessly.
The two boys look at Sirius and Diana with huge smiles plastered on their faces. "Hey, you must be our cabin mates, I'm Remus Lupin," the tall brunet says, holding an open hand out to Sirius.
Sirius doesn't move from his place on the couch, completely ignoring Remus's introduction. Diana on the other hand complies and shakes his large hand back as her other one clings to her towel.
Remus then looks behind him and introduces the other boy. "This is James Potter," he says, still smiling.
"Hi, nice to meet you both," James says with a small smile looking between the two.
"Great to meet you guys, I'm Diana Kent and the boy who is being ridiculously rude and not acknowledging your presence is Sirius Black," she says in a light tone, poking fun at the moody boy.
Sirius sighs and stands abruptly from his place on the couch, "I'm going for a walk" he says as he swiftly passes the two boys and disappears out the door.
"He's peachy," Remus says with a small chuckle, which gains a laugh from both Diana and James.
Looking down at her towel Diana says "Well, now that all three of you have seen me in a towel and I am absolutely embarrassed, I'm gonna throw some close on, can you guys wait here for a second?"
"Sure no problem," James says in a sweet tone.
"Yes of course" Remus replies trying his best to look anywhere but her body.
She smiles at the two boys and walks behind the dividing wall, finally letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Changing into a pair of comfortable shorts and a hoodie she comes back around the corner.
James and Remus are now sitting on the couch chatting, Diana clears her throat to get their attention and both boys look up from their conversation.
She notices how Remus's face changes slightly at the sight of her, his eyes raking down her body and back up to make eye contact. They hold it for a few seconds until James interrupts them.
"Is this your first summer here?" James asks,
"Well yes and no, it's my first summer working here, but I have been attending this camp since I was little," Diana says, stumbling slightly on her words as both boys stare at her.
"That's perfect, it's Prongs and my first time here... maybe you could show us around?" Remus says in a slightly hopeful but intimidating voice.
"Of course," she says with a smile. Both boys jump from the couch excited for the grand tour.
"Right this way," Diana says in her best hostess voice, they both chuckle at Diana's terrible impression but follow her out the cabin door.
