It was a normal day, Narrator was sitting on the couch and watching Stanley as he played on the ground in his pajamas that he refused to get out of. Narrator decided to let him stay in his pajamas since nothing was planned for today. Narrator didn't keep too close of an eye on Stanley since he was being pretty independent and just playing by himself with his toys.
Narrator kept his eyes on the TV, watching some random program that gained interest in over the course of a few minutes. He heard a small voice say "papa" and felt a small tug on his leg. He looked down to Stanley and smiled.
"Yes?" Narrator said lightly before being met with small babble and Stanley motioning as if he was acting out a story.
"Oh, really?" Narrator responds to the babblesand utter nonsense before picking Stanley up and placing him next to him on the couch.
Stanley kept babbling, not saying any proper words. He acts out some actions as he speaks and smiles the entire time. Narrator turns down the TV to better hear the nonsensical, adorable ramblings of Stanley. He keeps listening until he sees and hears Stanley stop babbling and hop off of the couch.
"Oh? Where's my little storyteller going?" Narrator asks with a small laugh at the abrupt stopping and leaving.
Stanley walks off to the room and comes back out with a book and a dinosaur plush. He goes back over and sits on the couch. He hands the book to Narrator and hugs the plushie in his hands as he looks expectantly at Narrator.
"Is it my turn to be the storyteller?" Narrator asks and is met with a smile and nod.
He opens the book and starts reading. By the time Narrator is in the middle of the book he feels a head leaned against him and light snoring. Narrator looks over and smiles before closeing the book. He sets the book down and turns the TV off. He hugs Stanley close and slowly drifts off to sleep with him.
