Quackity POV
I walked down the hallway beside wilbur, clutching my books in my arms nervously as people glared at me. I hated the attention. Why did I even say sure to sitting with wilbur at lunch anyway? I should have known that I would all the sudden get more glares and mean looks from people. Jealousy. That's what they had against me. The only person in school wilbur has ever asked to sit with. But why me?
"Are you ok?" Wilbur asked, breaking into my thoughts like a hammer shattering glass. "uh- yea, I'm totally and positively ok." I said. Damn, saying that out loud sounded definitely like a lie. Which was true. It was a lie.
"Yeah, I'm not convinced." Wilbur said, laughing a bit.
"I just... I'm not used to all the attention..." I said, glancing to the side to see Jack whisper something into Punz's ear, making him snicker and laugh at me. Wilbur sighed. "Sorry." He said, head hanging down. "No its fine- hey, are you ok?" I asked him. He suddenly had a alarmed face and he looked around. "Wilbur?" I asked, waving a hand in front of his face. "Sorry its just- GET DOWN!" Wilbur screamed, his arms wrapping around me and bringing me to the ground, his body on top of me. All the sudden, there was a big explosion behind them and a green slimy looking evil Spider-Man thingy crawled inside the huge whole in the wall. Venom. Also known as Dream. But that's a fucking weird name for a villain.
I could feel wilbur breathing hard but I couldn't see what was happening because he was blocking my vision. "Alex, you need to get out of here. Go!" Wilbur then yelled, holding me in his arms and gently holding me up onto my feet. I nodded quickly then turned. I paused. "What about you?" I asked him, my voice shaky. Wilbur smiled. "I'll be there in a minute." He said. I nodded and ran out of the school, praying that wilbur would be ok. What was he even thinking? What would he do?
