kazuha, a charming man with crimson eyes, hair white with a strand of red standing out, stared up at the dull sky. sitting down on the rooftop floor, he had a piece of paper clenched in his hand that looked crumpled and torn .

"oh? kazuha why are you here on a saturday morning?" a voice said from behind, startling the albino into turning his head towards the sound. kazuha let out a sigh of relief, "oh kuni, it's just you."

"yeah damn right you are it's me. so what are you doing here?" the boy whom kazuha referred to as kuni said, walking towards the crimson eyed.

the boy sat down beside kazuha and looked at the sky. "it's about to rain at any moment, i feel the lightning strikes from afar." the boy said, his gaze turning towards the worn out kazuha.

"you look so emo like this bro. what the fuck happened to you?" kuni said again, deadpanned.

"shikanoin."

it only took one word for the boy to understand. "oh." he said, not knowing what else to say. "sorry for your loss." he continued, his tone a little low.

"thanks." kazuha replied clenching the paper he had on his hand, kuni of course noticed this. "well, wanna go inside for a little bit? it's about to rain now." the boy said, trying his best to change the topic.

"thank you for the request but you can go on without me, i'd like to stay here." kazuha said still looking at the sky.

this only made kuni sigh of disappointment. "you fucking moron. you just got your ass sick yesterday and now you decide to sit in the rain? i can't with your stupidity." kuni scoffed, causing a laugh from kazuha.

"what's so funny? are you making fun of me!?" the boy yelled, looking like he was about to kill someone. "oh kuni, if you don't want to get yourself wet just go find a shelter, or are you really that willing to stay beside me?" kazuha said with a soft smile, now there's the kazuha we know.

kazuha turned his head around to look at kuni, the boy's face was flushed with embarassment. he had indigo hair and eyes, eyes beautifully filled with hope yet he knew they were dull inside.

"don't worry kuni, i'm not getting myself sick again. would you like to sit in the rain too?" kazuha asked him, earning a 'tch' from the other.

soon the rain came, pause the two off their bicker. "it kinda looks like snow doesn't it." kuni said, watching each raindrop patter on the ground. "don't say that, it makes me cry." kazuha said leaning his head on the boy's shoulder.

"i didn't mean for it to be like that." kuni said, laying his head atop of kazuha's as well. "you make it sound like you're gonna die." kazuha said holding the other's hand. "i can still see the rain don't worry.", "you better be telling the truth."

"aunt ningguang will be worried if you're soaked in rain again."

"don't worry kuni."

he said letting go of the crumpled piece of paper as it fell off the rooftop.

#6 - 5:00 a.m.  saturday

oh shikanoin how i miss you so dearly, thank you for helping me get through this kunikuzushi.

...

he laid down there, i stood from afar with shock plastered on my face. i felt a tear drop down, i grit my teeth as they kept going.

i ran towards him, pushing the people out of the way. i knelt down next to him then touched his face.

"this is a sick joke right?" i uttered quietly holding his hand. "please tell me this isn't real." i whispered, pulling him into my arms.

i embraced his slim, weak body, feeling the warm red liquid soaking my shirt. "heizou.." i quietly said, hearing myself sighing heavily.

i felt the strong wind blow towards us, and so i gazed up into the sky, seeing a clean bandage float down. i extended my hand, and it landed softly into my grasp.

"i hope it's peaceful there.." i whispered, wrapping the bandage onto his lifeless arm, picking up a bloodied paper as i stood soon after.
