Sapphire's Point of View
It was a lovely Friday. School just ended, so Amanda and I were already on our way to the mall. Every Friday, we check out the anime shop to see if they shipped new Axis Powers: Hetalia merchandise. Amanda, being the overdramatic drama queen who cares too much about her reputation (though it's because of this girl in her class who keeps competing with my best friend's popularity and all that jazz), decided to wear some sort of disguise. I highly doubt anyone would fall for it though; I mean, who else do I hang around with twenty-four hours a day?
"Sapphie, hurry up! What if they run out?" Amanda said as she pulled me closer to the shop. "Well aren't you excited for new merchandise that aren't going to be there?" I rolled my eyes as I picked up the pace. As we entered Comic Alley (that's the name of the shop) I noticed a tall figure with jet black hair reading manga. I shouldn't have cared, if it weren't for the fact that he resembled a character I knew all too well. So I approached him and tapped him lightly on his shoulder. "Hello, excuse me, are you the actual Kiku Honda? I mean you could be a cosplayer, though you look too much like him, as if you just jumped out of the screen." I said as I started inspecting him. This seemed to alarm him though, as he ran away almost immediately after I mentioned his human name.
I quickly looked for Amanda (who was by the posters section, looking for another one to place on her wall) and told her what happened a few moments ago. "Dude, I think I just talked to real-life Japan..." I said, still unsure whether or not he was a cosplayer. She laughed at me. "Are you sick or something? APH is just a show, the characters aren't real." She said and rolled her eyes at me. "Okay but, if he wasn't actually Japan and in fact, simply a cosplayer, why would he run away? Seems pretty suspicious to me." I tried to reason out.
"Of course he would run away, you appeared out of nowhere and accused him of being a fictional character! Jeez, and to think you're an honour student," She mused. "Don't me, Mandie. I know what I saw." I said defensively and pouted. "Think about it! What if they're all real? What if, Romania's real?" I said suggestively and grinned, earning a bright blush from her, accentuated by her pale skin. "Whatever, Saph. Let's just go, it's not like we have money these precious nendoroids anyway." She said with a sigh. And so we left the mall and went back home.
Japan's Point of View
When I left the store, I took a breath and thought about the girl. How could she tell it was me? I made sure to change my clothes and hide my face, and yet she still saw me. I need to tell Germany. I found him with Italy in the food court, the later enjoying his pasta. "Germany-san, I think we have a problem." I recalled the events at the shop, his face going white. "This can't be good, she could expose our kind." He said thoughtfully. "What should we do?" I asked. For a long time we thought in silence. Then with a sigh, he stood up and collected his things. "We can't do anything right now. Let's meet up with the others and decide on what to do with her." And so we all left the mall and made our way back to the hotel to gather up the present nations.
