♤Meant To Be♤ (A Guzma x Kukui story)

1) Rainy Day in Alola..

This chapter is angsty and contains mentions of homophobia, so if you aren't comfy with that I'll explain better in the next one and you can skip this one. But if not, I hope you like it!

"Honey, I'm home!" Said a cheerful Kukui walking into the house.

It was a sunny day in Alola, and Professor Kukui just got home from gathering new data on Pokémon. Kukui's day has been going swell: He got a raise on his paycheck for a job well done this week, the students at the Pokémon School have been doing better than ever, he got his checks today and gets to save during the weekend off, and he gets to come home to his wonderful family.. or so he thought he was.. As he got comfortable, he heard low, almost quiet whimpers. Curious to what it was, he went to investigate.. and found his daughter, Elle, crying in a corner on the floor next to her room. He grew concerned and went to check what was wrong.

"Oh, my little Tulip, what's the matter?.." Kukui asked as he kneeled down to her level.

"Mommy.. she's not as loyal as you think she is.." the little girl whispered softly, sniffing a small bit.

"Elle.. what are you talking about..?" Kukui's face growing into confused anger.

"Slowly open the door, it's already cracked.. that's the best way to 'disturb her..'" Elle said, looking up at her father feeling bad for what's about to come.

"Come honey.. we'll do it together, ok?.." he said, helping her up and pulling her into his arms.

After a light nod, they walked together to see what Elle was talking about. As he slowly opened the door, his face fell.. into shock, rage, and other emotions that he couldn't even describe. Kukui got into the realization that his daughter had to witness his wife, her mother, Alisha Burnet herself, cheating on him with another man. They were half naked, Burnet in a hot pink bra and panties set, and the man in his boxers. Makoa walked into the room quietly without their notice, Elle following him with a "That's what I mean" look on her face. From there, he spoke..

"Alisha fucking Burnet, get dressed right now because we're getting a divorce.." Makoa growled angrily, making the two freeze and turn quickly to his teary face.

"M-MAKOA!.. It's not what you-" Burnet was cut off.

"DON'T GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT ALISHA!.." He yelled, anger filling him, but he relaxed his volume, "our daughter should not be telling me that she witnessed you being disloyal to me.. I'm beyond disappointed in you.."

"Yeah right, whatever, atleast he's alot better than you, homosexual freak" Burnet said, rolling her eyes, "you can take that freak of a 'daughter' with you~"

"...get dressed.. i want this over with as soon as fucking possible.." Kukui said, his voice hiding the fact that he was broken apart by that.

He picked up Elle and went to get her dressed. They went outside and straight to Principal Oak's house nearby, Burnet showing up 5 minutes later. Because he was the wedding official, he can legally divorce them and give custody to their child. After a firm talk of confirmation about this, another argument, signing and agreeing for this to be done, Professors Makoa Kukui and Alisha Burnet were officially divorced and he had full custody of Elle Kukui. Moments later, she went back to grab all of her belongings and left the house.. Leaving Kukui alone there with their daughter, Elle, and it was simply heartbreaking to know that his now ex-wife never supported him.. or loved him at all, despite even though he gave her everything and loved her so much. Elle was in her bedroom playing with her stuffies, dolls, and toys to get the situation off her mind, to forget what her mother has done to them, and as for Kukui.. he was in his bedroom, overcome by sadness, heartbreak, and tears.. he cried. It was so sad that this happened a week after their daughter's 11th birthday. Several hours later, he was outside sitting near the beach, his coat zipped up and his hood over his head because it began to rain. He was still crying, but his sobs were soft and almost quiet, his mood going from cheerful to this in a matter of only hours. It's sad, a sunny, happy day turned into a gloomy, rainy day in Alola..
