"So, I finally get to meet the mysterious boy my daughter has been slowly falling in love with?" Lilith Laurent asks, walking into her daughter's room. "Ophie?" She calls out once more to see her daughter and son with tears in their eyes on Ophelia's bed.
"What are you doing?" She rips the letter out of her son's hands, and crumbles it up in her hands. "How did you find this?" She asks. "I just wanted to borrow your cardigan." Ophelia whispers, "I saw our names on it and got curious. Why are you leaving?" Ophelia struggles to get out.
"Ophie," Lilith whispers, trying to reach out for her daughter but Ophelia moves back and up against the wall. "You're going to end up like the rest of them. You're gonna die and we are gonna have to move again and this time with Nicky." Ophelia cries out.
Lilith takes a seat on the bed, reaching out to her daughter as she reaches out, grabbing her hand and seeing the memories flash through her daughter's head, many years ago.
"Are you going to bring him home?" Marcellus asks for the first time speaking out. "He would want to be with us. He needs to be with us-"
"Cause of magic." Ophelia mutters, cutting off her brother. "Cause he's your father." Lilith answers her instead, "He deserves to be with family. Come here." She says pulling her kids close to her, into a hug.
"Promise me, you'll both do what you want. Not what others expect of you." Lilith says quietly. The doorbell goes off causing the three Laurents to jump back. Ophelia wipes her eyes as she peeks out the window and spots Scott McCall at the door.
It was later that night when Ophelia was walking Scott out that she saw her mom again. "Who is your mom talking to?" Scott asked, pointing to Lilith talking to something or someone as she faced the trees.
"I don't know. Get home safe." She says quickly hugging Scott before walking up to her mom. "Who are you talking to?" Ophelia asks, scaring her mom and making her jump. "Oh, Ophie. You scared me."
"I think you're scaring me." Ophelia said, "Who are you talking to?" Lilith turned her daughter around as she walked them towards the house. "Just the gods." She admitted before turning around with a scared look on her face.
