Kayla, nine-years-old, asks, "Did you and the hot CEO break up?"
Ace widens her pale ice eyes at the 9-year-old who ignores her.
Me: "No, Kay, the hot guy and I are still on." Kay: "Really?" Me:
"Really." 9-year-old: "They said that you two are done because he's working 14 hours a day so you broke up." Ace: "You . . . !" Me: "Ace. Breathe. Kay . . who told you that Lucas and I had split up?" Kayla: "Tabloids. Gossip-columnists. Media." Ace: "Hey-!" Me: "Ace. No."
K: "They also said he's always the last one to leave his office and that he stays in until the sun's up--I don't really get why you are still dating him."
I tell my sis to head in, before she curses in front of Kean's and Court's kid. I drop to one knee before her. "Kayla." I lock gazes with the girl in front of me. "I have someone I love and care for, and things are hard these past couple of years but that's not a reason to give up and go.
"It's okay to leave a situation that hurts you. Good relationships are healthy. Respectful. Patient. Supportive. Honest, considerate, safe.
"Kay, when you feel the Relationship is worth saving then you have to work and make an effort to save it. Life is hard at times and there are gonna be days you feel that your struggling is forever, but there are gonna be days you feel are Sort-of OK and hope for more OK days."
The Nine-Year-Old with long pale brown hair and pale amber eyes surveys me before she pulls me into a bear-hug and consoles me.

May. 29. Mon. Lucas's seven-day paid sick-leave is finished so he is working yet again. 12 or 14 or 16 hours a day. Typical. Jun. 4. Sun.
Stacy's and Sophia's 25th Birth day--predictably, unsurprisingly, annoyingly, Lucas is Stuck at Work and won't be able to join us.
Good-News: I bought a silver dove locket for Stacy who got the same for me! One side has a photograph of Mama-May, Papa-Ben, and both our birth parents while the other side holds a picture of Ma, Pa, Stacy, me.
More-Good-News: Bryce's large-format-printer has arrived! He let us print a bank of posters of Anime characters and South Korean idols.
I decided to print a bunch of life-sized Lucas cutouts to have a Lucas to talk or vent to and to confide in. They should help me work on what to say. Our Anniversary's on Friday. He can't be over-working on Friday.
