I pulled out the suitcase from under my bed and propped it up onto my bed. It didn't take long to finish packing majority of the things I would need. Although the packing wasn't so bad I could already tell this "holiday" that my parents had planned was going to be the death of me. Spending my holidays in some town in the middle of nowhere was definitely not how wanted to spend my days away from school. Even though I was up for a new adventure, the loneliness would eventually eat me up from the inside. Anyway, there was no way I could get out of going because my parents had this idea of a family holiday and some great bonding time and all that shit. So I was stuck, and we were leaving in a day.
"Amanda! We need to discuss something with you" My Dad shouted from downstairs. I turned my music off before I began to loiter downstairs. Once I walked into the dining room, I saw my Mum and Dad sitting across one another at the table. I take a seat at the head of the table.
"What's up?" I asked curiously. My Mum was quick to reply.
"We understand your lack of enthusiasm for this holiday but please just try your best to look like you're having fun for Cal. Besides you never know, you might actually enjoy yourself..."
"Whatever...but fine, for Cal." My little brother Calum had been ecstatic for this family holiday for ages. He had already started drawing up lists of what we will do there. And as much as I hate to admit this, I am almost looking forward to it, I'm a sucker for a new adventure. After googling the place up, it has quite a few okay features. Seriously I am not going to spend my holidays being bored and lonely.
So that was that, it was decided; we were going on holidays to a place in the middle of nowhere. And we were leaving tomorrow!
