"Anaya, go get the mangalsutra." said Lavanya in a hurry. She wanted everything to be perfect for his wedding. She had entrusted Anaya with the responsibility of bringing the mangalsutra, the sacred necklace that symbolized the bond of marriage.
Anaya rushed to Lavanya's room and brought the mangalsutra. It was a beautiful piece of jewellery, made of gold and black beads. It had been passed down from generation to generation in their family. It was a precious heirloom.
Anaya kept the mangalsutra near the wedding rituals. She was wearing a grand lilac saree and a lot of jewellery. She looked like a princess. She was the wife of Arjun, the younger brother of Armaan. She was also the best friend of Saanvi, the bride-to-be. She had helped her plan the wedding and choose the outfits.
Anaya started to feel dizzy. She had been running up and down the resort all day. She had been taking care of the guests and the arrangements. She had been dancing and singing. She had been enjoying the wedding festivities. But she had also been neglecting her health. She had forgotten to take her allergy pills. She was allergic to peanuts. She had accidentally eaten some peanuts in the food.
Arjun saw her and held her at the right moment. He was wearing a matching lilac kurta and pyjama. He looked like a prince. He was the husband of Anaya. He was also the brother of Armaan. He had helped him prepare for the wedding and calm his nerves.
Arjun asked, "Anaya, did you take your allergy pills today?" He knew about her allergy. He always carried her pills with him. He always looked after her.
Anaya shook her head and said, "No, Arjun, I forgot. I was too busy. I am sorry." She felt guilty. She didn't want to spoil the wedding. She didn't want to worry Arjun.
Arjun took out the pills from his pocket and handed them over to Anaya. He said, "It's okay, Anaya. Don't be sorry. You have done a lot for this wedding. You have been a great daughter-in-law, a great friend and a great wife. You have nothing to be sorry for. You have everything to be proud of. Here, take these pills. They will make you feel better."
Anaya took the pills and thanked Arjun. A servant gave her some water. She drank the water and swallowed the pills. She felt better. She smiled and said, "Thank you, Arjun. You are the best husband ever. You always save me from trouble. You always make me happy. You always love me more."
Arjun hugged her and said, "You are welcome, Anaya. You are the best wife ever. You always face trouble with courage. You always make me proud. You always love me more."
They kissed and smiled. They were happy and in love.
After 20 minutes, Anaya was again running up and down the resort. She was feeling energetic and lively. She was ready for the wedding.
Finally, the pandit, the priest, said, "Var, ko mandap par lekar aayain." (Translation: Bring the groom to the wedding pyre.)
Arjun rushed towards Armaan's room and both brothers came out. Armaan was wearing a sherwani, a traditional Indian outfit, and a turban. He was feeling nervous and excited. He couldn't wait to see Saanvi in her lehenga, a long skirt and blouse.
Armaan sat in his seat in front of the fire. The fire was the witness of the wedding. It was the symbol of the divine presence. It was the source of the warmth and light.
Saanvi came wearing her white lehenga with pink designs. She was looking gorgeous and radiant. She had a veil covering her face. She had a lot of jewellery adorning her body. She was feeling shy and joyful. She couldn't wait to see Armaan in his sherwani and turban.
Armaan was smiling at her and Saanvi smiled back. They lifted their veils and looked into each other's eyes. They felt a spark of love and connection. They felt they were made for each other.
