1 MONTH LATER

The loud banging on the front door startled Hobi wide awake from the depressive slumber he had currently been in. He already knew who it was. His childhood friend Jungkook aka Kookie. He'd been ignoring his calls and text and persistent knocking at the door. Hobi gave small annoyed groan and buried his head back under the cold pillow and pulled the sheets tighter around him.

All he wanted was the one thing that could give his mind, heart, body and soul peace. And what he wanted wasn't coming back no matter how much he begged and pleaded with the Gods above. He had been sending texts up until a week ago when his messages went from delivered to unable to send. Still...not a word from Jimin. He'd disappeared.

Hobi could feel his heart break with every passing second of the day and nothing seemed to help. He curled himself into an even tighter ball, trying to drive the drowning thoughts away as well as the constant ringing of his phone. Jungkook wasn't walking away today that was for sure. Every fiber of his soul and body felt like it was being torn apart and he could feel the exhaustion from crying so much start to set in.

"Dammit Hobi! I swear to God! Open the fucking door!" Jungkook's high shrill voice echoed in the hallway outside the apartment door. Loud knocking and the rattling of his doorknob ensued following his colorful choice of swear words. Hobi could hear the hard blows hitting the door just right from him kicking it with his steel toe boots. He was for sure wearing those today and he was definitely persistent in checking up on Hobi.

The sound of splintering wood made him whip his head out from under the blankets and leap out of the bed. He barely left the room in time to see the front door slam open, part of it splintered and the wood beaten down in places his boots had kicked in. Part of the hinge connecting the door was ripped off leaving the door to hang in a rather unnatural state. The doorknob was done for as well as it fell from its placeholder and rolled on the floor for a second.

Jungkook stood there fuming, his fists balled up, his face bright red and his long black bangs sticking to his forehead from the sweat of all the hard work he had just put into beating the door down. His eyes full of a mixture of things...anger, worry, sadness but mostly anger. He ran forward and grabbed Hobi by his shirt collar, practically pulling the boy up off the floor till their noses were touching.

"Have you lost your mind?! Why would you not answer me when I'm calling and knocking?! Are you fucking crazy?! Do you know how fucking worried I've been?! I literally slept in my car the past two nights here just so i could try to check up on you!!"

Jungkook angrily shoved him back and gave an angry grunt along with a few choice swear words. Standing a few feet away from him Jungkook's gaze softened as he took in Hobi's physical state. Hobi looked as disheveled as he could have possibly been. He definitely had not been eating and it clearly showed in his sunken cheek bones. His usually vibrant autumn brown hair now lay flat against his head with a dull lifeless color that matched his eyes. His skin looked a lot paler than normal and he had for sure lost weight in an abnormal fashion.

The silence in the air hung around them like a fog that wouldn't lift and Hobi kept his head down and eyes to the floor since he could still feel the presence of his friends wandering eyes.

Before he knew it Jungkook had his arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him into one of his well known deep, warm hugs.  His fingers gently ruffling Hobi's hair and giving him that small sense of security he was wanting.
