IT HAD BEEN THREE YEARS SINCE THE BRUTAL KILLINGS THAT HAD HAPPENED IN COLLEGE. delilah and randy had been advised by police to hunker down in the mountains where it's safe.

they hadn't heard from sidney in a few months but she was going by the name laura for her own protection. she tried to call them whenever she could but she also tried to protect herself.

delilah and randy had also been using fake names whenever they'd leave the house or go on the phone. delilah was going by amanda and randy was going by dan.

but they lived together in the mountains, a little near sidney but not to close. they'd visit when they'd feel safe but the trio was paranoid.

at the moment, randy and delilah sat on their couch watching texas chainsaw massacre and would pause it to discuss it every few minutes.

the couple hadn't changed their looks much. randy kept his goatee because delilah loved it so much. he had gotten a little muscular, having been working out in their gym.

delilah hadn't changed a bit. she still had her long brunette hair that was usually in a ponytail. she still had her love for horror movies like her boyfriend. the only thing that had changed was she picked up a smoking habit.

since the murders at their college, delilah had been diagnosed with anxiety, ptsd and and depression. randy was there for each and every episode. he's help her through it.

though he didn't agree with the smoking, he allowed her to do it if it would make her feel better.

right as randy was about to pause the movie again, the phone began to ring. the caller id popped up as sidney's fake name.

delilah sat up from the couch and grabbed the phone. "hello?"

"turn the tv on."

delilah furrowed her eyebrows. "to what station?"

"any news station."

delilah could hear the shock and despair in sidney's voice. she grabbed the remote from randy and turned the tv on.

"hollywood is reeling today from the news of the murder of controversial talk show host cotton weary." the newswoman spoke. delilah placed her hand that wasn't holding the phone to her mouth. "weary had only recently finished shooting a cameo as himself in the film stab 3: return to woodsboro." delilah and randy physically flinched at the name of their hometown. they hadn't returned nor had they spoke about woodsboro since the murders. "the third and final part of the famous horror series based on the woodsboro and windsor college murders. before his ruse to fame, cotton had been imprisoned, and was later exonerated for the murder of maureen prescott, his former love."

randy shut the tv off as delilah sighed. "si- laura i'm so sorry."

"it's happening again, isn't it, li- amanda?"

"no. no it's not. it's not happening again. it's not." delilah kept repeating. randy stood up and grabbed the phone from her hand as she fell on the ground covering her ears.

"sorry laura, i'll have to call you back, amanda's having another episode." randy said hastily as he watched his girlfriend on the ground.

"i'm so sorry. did i cause it? i should of called. i'm sorry-"

"no it's okay, laura." randy said. "it happens all the time. thanks for letting us know. i'll call you later."

with that, randy hung up and crouched down next to delilah. she was rocking back and forth covering her ears.

"cottons dead. it's happening again. cottons dead. it's happening again." delilah sobbed. randy wrapped his arms around the fragile girl.

"it's not happening again, lily." randy said, holding the girl as if she were a baby in his arms. he rocked her, trying to ease her mind. it always seemed to help her. "everything will be fine, honey."

sidney called back a little while later, delilah was fast asleep in her and randy's shared bed. her boyfriend stand and answers the phone.

"laura hey, what's up?"

"i had a dream about my mother and-and the killer."

randy sighed, rubbing his hand over his face. "look i think that we're all just a little paranoid. it's been rough day and we all just need to take a breather."

"we really have it rock bottom haven't we, ra-dan. you're the one who's calm, amanda and i are freaking out." sidney was about to continue but she got a call. "i'll have to call you back, i'm getting a call."

"okay." randy replied. "be careful."

sidney hung up the phone before randy laid back down with delilah. she snuggled into his chest and sighed.

"i'm sorry for my episode earlier, rand." she said. delilah hated when she had meltdowns like that. she was embarrassed but she really couldn't help it.

"hey, don't apologize." randy said, bringing his hands to both sides of her delicate face. "you can't help it. it's okay, honey." he placed his lips to hers softly before bringing her head to his chest. "everything is going to be okay."
