"If I could kiss you then go to hell, I would. That way I could brag to the devil that I saw heaven without even entering it," he told her, losing all sense of rationality.
"Please, there's no such thing as heaven or hell," she breathed out mockingly, quite taken aback by the poetic verse he just uttered. Then again... he was Chat Noir, after all.
He chuckled softly, taking a step towards her. She took a step back, the scent of his cologne intoxicating her.
"We're here, aren't we?" He asked her.
Even if the memories of his past life blurred with time, he could still remember every single emotion he felt for this girl. He could still feel the way she moved his heart, in a way that no one else ever did.
"Adrien... what I have with him is perfect, can't you accept that?" She proposed gingerly. She couldn't find the strength to look at him in the eyes. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt him. His green eyes filled with anger, but softened quickly.
"I will not make the same mistake twice..." he whispered, the grip on his heart tightening at the thought of losing her again.
"And besides," he continued, "don't you think perfection is overrated, my lady?"
