Chapter 9 (A Monster)

Hunnigans pov

Once Chris told me about the mission and about the big creatures that had appeared one of them being (y/n) that was protecting the group. I had ordered a full test to be done on (y/n) to see how the virus was effecting his cells in his body. I had gotten to his room to see that Leon was watching over him and making sure he was alright. I had told Leon (y/n) would need to go through some testing and he looked at me puzzled and said why he is perfectly fine. I said don't lie to me with what Chris told me he is one of those things and we need to make sure he is under control and not going to hurt anyone.

           Leon's pov

              So you think he is a monster just because the virus has altered his cells a little bit. To be clear it hasn't altered his way of thinking or acting against a person or someone that is different. Why would you just assume the worse and not understand him as a person and not what he can turn into cause he is not a monster which you are implying he is.

          Hunnigans pov

            You know what Leon you are right I guess I did misjudge a few things about (y/n) but, still we need to run some test on him to see if we could make a cure for this specific strand of the virus. Thats why I have dear Rebecca here to help me out with all the testing she has pulled a blood sample from a long time ago that isn't in any way mutated and would like to see if the blood that runs through his veins has any signs of acting differently then normal cells.

            Rebecca's pov

I held the blood sample in my hand that I had pulled from (y/n) about 6 years ago now. I wanted to pull another sample and compare the two and see what is different in both samples to see if there is any difference in any of the viruses that we have encountered before.

What I know is so far is that (y/n) has full control of his body and thought and can mutate his own body at will whenever it is needed which is amazing but, a little frightening. I then pulled a needle out of my pocket of my white coat and told (y/n) that I was going to just draw a little bit of blood from him to test. He shook his head weakly and reached for Leon's hand to hold while I put the needle in and pulled out a pint of blood.

           Leon's pov

            As Rebecca pushed the needle into (y/n's) arm he winced in pain and squeezed my hand I then hugged him close to comfort him from the pain he felt from the needle usually needles don't bother him but, it's bothering him a lot more. Then after Rebecca got her samples of blood she needed she had left the room and went to the lab to test and see what has changed with (y/n's) blood.

          Hunnigan started to tell me that they would test and then Rebecca come back in and tell me what she had found or noticed any changes in the samples. Hunnigan had left the room and (y/n) had curled up onto me and I fell back into the bed making sure his head was resting on my chest.

           (Y/n) mumbled saying I love you Leon and I had whispered back saying I love you too (y/n).

         ~TIME SKIP~

          Y/n's pov

            I slowly open my eyes and felt my arm where Rebecca had stuck me with the needle to get my blood for testing I started to move a little bit forgetting I was in Leon's arms laying on his chest. I then looked up at him seeing how relaxed he looked sleeping. I had wiggled a little bit to be right above his face looking down at his soft features on his face then I placed a kiss on his lips which woke him up and he looked at me and said someone's eager to get my attention I laughed and said you wished. He then kissed me and he rolled us to where he was above me pinning my hands against the bed above my head. Then I proceeded to tease him saying what are you going to do with me Leon. He then proceeded to whisper in my ear saying well you will soon find out as he did that I felt a shiver go down my spine. Then he started to kiss me going down my neck but, sadly we were interrupted by a knock at the door with Chris's loud voice calling from outside the door luckily we didn't get any further then just teasing each other.

I then got up from under Leon and opened the door harshly and said what do you want Chris scaring the taller brunette male then he fixed himself after and proceeded to say hunnigan needs y'all in the briefing room. I said ok we will be there in a minute as I closed the door walked over to the bed and collapsed with my face in the bed as Leon laughed at me and said always being interrupted when we are trying to be alone for a little bit. I then proceeded to laugh seeing the Irene in the whole thing as I got up and held out a hand for Leon to take to follow me to the briefing room. We walked to the briefing room as we entered the briefing room hunnigan greeted us and Rebecca standing there waving. I sat down next to Leon and looked at hunnigan telling us about the samples they had from me and said that there is a slight difference in the cells and that Rebecca will explain the rest in better detail.

Rebecca's pov

As hunnigan said that I stepped forward and said we found traces of the g-virus and t-virus in the blood samples and other viruses as well but, these are the two main strands that we found and they canceled out the rest of the viruses with that being said you are infected but, you can control the two viruses with immense strength and to be more advanced and knowledgeable about things. (Y/n) proceeds to cut in and says well I guess that would make sense on the point that I am really great at thinking on my feet most times while being hunted or if it's a stressful situation.

Then I say yes but, with that the two viruses have amped your strength and it doesn't seem to effect you right now cause you are very easy with certain objects but, that's about it you can go back to what y'all were doing or even go out on the town as I turned to look at hunnigan making sure it was ok that I had said that and in response she nodded back in agreement.
