"Following the bombing, several people have reported sightings of creatures roaming the areas. Despite appearing human, these things are not human. If you see one of these, run, as your life is in danger."
Bakugo Katsuki stares intently at the television. The news displayed images of mutated humans, blackened skin, as though they were dusted in charcoal, their eyes stained a nauseating reddish yellow. Their teeth were long, but thin, as if shaved down with a nail file. And perhaps worst of all, was the paralyzed look of terror in those disgustingly bloodshot eyes, as if their was still some form of humanity in that mutilated mess of elongated limbs.
The UA staff had made the executive decision to move all the hero students to a hidden campsite, in order to keep them safe and hidden while they repaired the school. Some sort of terrorist had planted bombs around Japan, following no semblance of a pattern- A convenience store, a factory, there were even reports of some being in the water, and the middle of the woods.
Midoriya rummages around in the bag of supplies that was dropped off earlier that day. Clothes, food, other things... A majority of the students weren't allowed to use their quirks, it would bring too much attention, so each of them had managed to get their hands on some sort of substitute weapon. Kirishima had snatched up a bat from the storage closet, and Bakugo had somehow found guns hidden in the floorboards of his cabin. Midoriya didn't know whether to be impressed or concerned. Kaminari was practicing with a slingshot, and Todoroki had been hurling rocks at a tree.
"Holy fuck." Bakugo mutters.
"Kacchan?" Midoriya looks up from the bag. Bakugo points to the television. It was displaying hordes of the creatures swarming a restaurant, long, thin tongues flicking out of their gaping mouths. The display goes black as one of the creatures knocks down the camera.
"Call the others." Bakugo orders.
Midoriya nods and hurriedly gathers the other students. They seem uninterested.
Bakugo bangs on a pot to get their attention. They quiet down. "Listen up! A bunch of mutant creatures are roaming around. They seem to be out for blood, and it's inevitable that they'll find us. It appears to be a disease, transmitted via blood."
Kaminari raises a hand, but, of course, speaks out anyways. "So, we're in a zombie apocalypse?" He says, way too excitedly.
Bakugo opens his mouth to say something, sighs, and closes his mouth again. "In a way. I suppose that gives you an idea of what not to do. Gather what you need, and we'll divide up the food in case anything finds us."
