"New Powers New People" (Mun x Hana) (Sung-Young x Jade)

Chapter 5 "Past is not today.."

Shihori continued to look at Jade for while.

"I will keep in touch..Sung-Young.."

That thought went through Shihori's mind. Why did that name sounded so familiar? Why this Jade girl was calling her that?

"Itterasshai (See you later)" said Shihori and left coffee shop.

Why did I say that? She probably doesn't understand japanese..But why do I feel like I have said that before? To someone..

Jade looked how the girl runned away. She looked kinda sad and nostalgic by it..Why? Because it felt like the girl she had once known in her youth was running away from her again..And this time the reason for that was way more sad..Other one didn't clearly remembered another but other one did and all the things Sung-Young had done to her..

Shihori then continued walking around looking for Mun and others. She first was going to give up until she saw Mun sitting infront of his grandparents house..

"Mun!"

The boy looked up and saw worried face of his new friend..

"What's wrong?"

"I am just a mess..I can't even speak to Hana noona properly.."

"Are you still feeling insecure?"

"I am.."

Shihori sat down next Mun..

"You know..You are pretty lucky guy.."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean you have a lot of people who want to stay by your side Jangmul, Mo-tak, Mrs.Chu, Jaok-bong and of course..your friends..you are pretty lucky.."

"And you don't have anyone by your side..? Why are you saying this?!"

"Mun..eversince I became an counter I lost most of my memories..I don't even remember the faces of my parents or faces of my friends that I used to have..Then became the part I had to travel around..I didn't make any friends or didn't kept in touch with any of the counters..I did most of my things on my own..So I didn't have anyone by my side until now when all of you came to my life..You made me feel welcomed and loved..Also..I was too young when I lost my parents too.."

"You lost your parents..When..?"

Shihori smiled sadly and then said:

"I just turned 15..and I don't remember what happend to them.."

Mun couldn't believed it. This girl who was looking exactly like her had gone through also hell and back but still was able to smile and stand strong..

"I am sorry for yelling at you earlier..I just.."

"Got lost in your emotions and bottle up them..? I said before don't do that.."

"But! You have probably done that many times!"

"So what! I learned how to cope with it to live with..I would say find my peace with it..I just acepted the fact I don't get my memories back..Eventhough I wanted to.."

Mun continued to look at Shihori. Despite saying all of those things he could see little pain in her eyes..

"Tell me Mun..What do I compare my heart to?.."

"Huh?"

Shihori then smiled..

"The answer that is..A heart of the one traveling alone.."

Sometimes Mun didn't even understand what Shihori was saying but Mun could tell that she was really smart and poetic..but she had a quirky side too..Maybe in future they both will be the "strongest" counters in the world..but for now just little by little they started to get know eachother and maybe one day they will be best friends for sure..Now fully Mun understood why Shihori didn't wanted to talk about her parents earlier but he still apprecited the fact she could trust Mun that much that she had courage to tell him about them..
