A Plan For Victory

"What the hell is that?", Fang asked. "It should be the giant that guards the Devourer Jewel since it can't get in the wrong hands", Lilac replied. "I don't think that creature is going to back off", Fang stated. "Then what do we do?", Lilac queried. "We fight", Fang replied.

They tried to attack the giant but it didn't work. After a while of trying, they got tired of it. "Nothing seems to work", Lilac sighed. "Don't lose hope, love. We saw some paintings on the walls of this cave, right? I recall seeing a painting that kind of resembles this big buddy. Why don't we go check it out?", Fang said, earning a nod from Lilac. "This guy won't let us in or out. How are we going to go back?", she asked. He sighed. "That's why we are going to use our powers, silly!", he said, slightly tapping on her head.

Lilac shapeshifted into a butterfly while Fang shapeshifted into a snake. They quickly went near the entrance of the cave and regained their original forms. They started to look for the painting of the Giant. "Lili, look, I found it", he called her to his side. "Are they showing their hands to the Giant?", she paused. "Yes! The Jewels", She exclaimed and dragged Fang along with her, to the Giant.

"Show him your Jewel", she said as she raised her hands in a way that the Giant could see the Jewel. As soon as it saw the jewel, it bowed and moved out of the way. Lilac and Fang walked in.

After a while of walking, they found the Devourer Jewel. A beam of blue light surrounded it.

"Woah. Go get it, baby", he said. "No. We're stronger together. So let's do it together", she said to which Fang replied with a nod. They took the Jewel together, passing their hands through the endless beam of light. They immediately got out of the cave.

"We can't let Zalazar know that we are there. We have to strike him from behind", Lilac stated. "So, I guess you are going to use your butterflies?", he said. "Exactly", she said before lifting her hand. She closed her eyes. Her magical butterflies appeared as she opened her eyes. She opened a portal and let them through it, so that she can watch Zalazar. Him and Zalazarians were fighting the heroes' alternate selves. And as expected, he didn't find out that the Lilac and Fang he is fighting are just replicas of them.

Lilac spotted the right place to teleport. So she brought back her butterflies. They disappeared. "I'll get his powers. Once we are done, you should take him to the Universe of the Abandoned", she said. "Okay. Be careful", He said as he kissed on her forehead. "You too", she replied with a smile.
