"Beep beep beep beep" rings my alarm clocking signaling me to get up. Arising from my bed I check my phone. "Damn," I say noticing that I only have 10 minutes to get to work. Rushing I put on some clothes, fix my hair, and put on a little makeup before grabbing an apple on my way out the door.
I pulled up to the velociraptors cage and ran through the door to find Owen standing there with a look of disapproval. "Your late" he says as I swip my card to check in. "By a minute" I say with a smirk " that's a new record". "It's not funny marissa" he says with a serious face. " we have tons of work to do. Come on". We walk down the hall to the walkway above the velociraptors. I quickly grab my clicker and begin calling the animals. " Delta, Charlie, Blue, Echo. Follow me." I begin walking towards the other side of the fence when I get rudely interrupted by Hoskins. " Marissa, Owen, Barry come here". Walking to him we all say in unison " what Hoskins". "Can I use these things now," he says. Hearing him talk so badly about them causes a huge amount of rage to fill up inside of me and I couldn't hold it in " these things?! These animals aren't toys Hoskins. They are living breathing creatures just like us and if you ever think about using my animals I swear I will rip you limb to limb". Owen and Barry are silently giggling in the back but quickly become serious. " ya," Owen says "these creatures need to see a level of respect and you can't expect to just come in and use them for your own benefit." " I can use the animals however I want to. They are extinct which means they lost all their rights". " for your information," I said " these animals aren't extinct anymore but if you do anything to harm them I swear you will be." "Is that a threat little missy" he said with a little bit of fear in his eyes. " no. That's a guarantee". Walking away with Barry and Owen i hear all three of our walkie talkies. " marissa can you hear me marissa?" Calls Claire. "yes Claire what do you need". "come to the museum complex as quickly as possible". "On my way". Waving bye to the boys I grab my keys off of the rack and head to my park car. I don't technically have a license but thats one of the perks of working here. After 10 minutes I finally arrive at the complex. As soon as I walk through the doors Claire spots me and rushes towards me. " Marissa I need you to do me a favor. Can you please take my nephews on a tour of the park. I'll give you a raise." Do I have a choice I thought to myself. " of course no problem. What are their names? And ages?" " umm lets see their names are Zach and gray and the umm they're about umm." " You don't know their ages?" I looked at her in confusion and disgust. " it's complicated anyways just go find them and have a good time." "okay" I say as I start to write a sign with their names. Well here comes a long day of taking care of two little kids. Yay, I say as I walk towards the docks.
