The gateway spun as the blue portal glowed in the departing room. SG1 and SG3 marines stood ready as they prepared to jump through. They wore armored hazmat suits and walked through to be met by a horrible landscape.

"Holy shit." One of the SG3 marines said through the built in radio. "This makes our own nuclear bombings of Japan look like a child's plaything.

"Well, the probe did say it was highly irradiated." O'Neil said as they started to look around. By his guess it was early noon. "You remember the briefing, don't spread out and stay close in radio contact." The teams nodded as he looked around to see Daniel studying a wall with old Celtic writing. "What did you find?"

"I have no idea." Daniel said as he pulled out his camcorder as Carter was staring off into the distance. "It's fascinating truly. this dialect of Celtic has been lost for centuries. I can obviously read some words of what's written."

"And what does it say? If you don't know then just say you don't know." O'Neil said as Daniel read a bit of what was written.

"Well from what is here and from my very limited Celtic I think it says something along the lines of Beware servants of false ancestors, the blood of rebellion watches you. Pray the ancestors judge you worthy of his mercy and that of a quick death." Daniel murmured to himself. "And this part here that seems painted on says, Aleic was here."

"The blood of rebellion? The hell does that mean?" O'Neil asked as he stood next to Dr. Carter.

"Maybe it means that" She pointed out across the hazardous landscape to a statue in the distance.

There it stood staring in their direction. O'Neil felt calm looking at it as if he knew while here, he was safe from its judgement. "Hmmm, weird." He turned back to Teal'c who was stoic as always watched out on their surroundings. "Well, I think there is no real signs of things to be worried about since there are no corpses around." Teal'c didn't respond as O'Neil joined next to him and stared through the green mist.

"O'Neil we are being watched." Teal'c said pointing his staff in the direction of a partially collapsed building. The Colonel watched as a shine appeared periodically before reappearing elsewhere on the building. "I believe it may be who we are here for."
