Today's the day.

My dream actually came true.

I look down at my hands holding my ticket and backstage pass.

"Shawn Mendes
Washington D.C.
Show Time: 7:30 pm
Row #1
Seat #12"

My ticket read. My heart is racing. I've been waiting for this day to come for over 8 months. And it's finally here.

It's 3:30. Four hours until the concert. I need to get ready! I run in my huge walk in closet and then I just stand there and stare. I Have. No. Clue. What. To. Wear.

I look around a little bit and notice a burgundy sweater with a white scarf. I decide to wear that and I find a pair of my black leggings. I check the weather. 53 degrees. It's a little chilly so I decide to wear my uggs.

I go to the bathroom and I fix my hair. It has a natural wave to it, and it actually looks good today. "That's a first." I say to myself. I decide to leave my hair as it is and start doing my make up. I apply a little foundation, then put on a tad bit of eye liner. Then I put on mascara, but I make sure it's the waterproof kind because I know I'll probably cry like a baby when I meet Shawn.

I finish up my make up and I look at the clock. "5:30," it reads.

Wow. That took longer than I thought.
I run downstairs and tell my parents that I'm going to the concert. I say my goodbyes and get in the car. It takes about 35 minutes to get to the arena, and I wanna make sure I get there a tad bit early so I can beat some of the crowd.

I get there and I get a kind of close parking spot, which is good. I go through security and I go to get my seat. There were a bunch of people behind me, but I was the only one in the front row.

"You're soo lucky!" I hear one girl about 9 rows behind me shout. I turn around to see who had said it. She had long blonde hair and she was really pretty. She was wearing a shirt from Shawn's merch store.

"It took a years savings and I'm still surprised I got the tickets." I laugh a little and smile.

"Well it's totally worth it, I mean it's Shawn Mendes were talking about!" She said back.

I laugh and go about my own business. The arena is starting to get fuller by the minute. I start getting butterflies in my stomach and decide to check my phone for the time.

"7:25," it reads. I look up and see an incredibly handsome Shawn Mendes walking across stage and I stand up and scream.

This was going to be absolutely
amazing.
