It was a peaceful night up in Happogahara pass, lit only by the tranquil moonlight. The roads were clear, not a single vehicle in sight, so all there was were the ambient sounds of the wildlife. Suddenly, a blue Subaru Impreza WRX STI bolted out of Yuhi tunnel at high speed, followed by a Honda Civic Type R right on its tail. The WRX had the significant advantage of being all-wheel drive on a mountain pass, so it exited the corner at a higher speed than the front-wheel drive Civic. The WRX pulled away from the Civic at the corners, but the Civic was slowly inching its way up to close the gap, having a more powerful engine. This goes on for multiple corners, until the Civic catches up at the bridge. The Civic clipped the WRX, causing it to lose control and drive off the bridge into the river below, as the computer monitor flashed a screen that said "YOU LOSE."

"NYANN- that was embarrassing...BUT GOD DAMMIT! That's the third dirty racer I met today!" a ginger-haired catboy exclaimed.

About time I got to work-oh....the boy momentarily got lost in thought as he slowly recovered from the shock of getting rammed off the road in the game he was playing.

My name is Tora, I'm a catboy, of the calico breed. I was just retrenched from my job as a delivery driver a couple months ago. There's barely any jobs that would hire anyone new right now, much less one willing to take in an inexperienced catboy like me. My job right now is practically to find jobs, otherwise I get taken off the payroll for unemployment money. Besides that, I just watch the days go by. I've been living off my savings and salary alone ever since my master died in a car crash 2 years ago. He was a professional racer, so he earned a lot of money, travelled the world and met a lot of people. As a result of that, he left me a pretty nice house, as well as a used Nissan 180SX. I never thought of motorsports as a potential career, it costs too much money to compete like my master did anyway. The next best thing is gaming on my computer. I hold numerous track records on this game called Touge Attack D, since I play for over 6 hours a day having nothing else to do. I've sent my resume to over 10 different places today, not that they will read it, but at least I tried.

I'll get something sweet to eat. The boy thought as he got up and stretched, as he headed down into his 180SX and drove towards Patisserie La Soleil.
