Gilda, Norman and Don were all dared by their friends to explore the abandoned Grace Mano...
(disclaimer, this chapter has a horror esc drawing but its its not that scary tbh)
"Ghosts? Pfff, probably just some raccoons" Barbara laughed as she spun her dagger around
"Yeah, right. A raccoon" Don rolled his eyes
"Can we just get this over with" Vincent asked
"Yeah. I'm kinda curious though" Cislo shrugged
"We will. Just get your asses inside" Norman said as he opened the front doors
"Knock knock" Norman called out and knocked on the door and closed it. Hayato sighed and leaned on the wall. After a few seconds of silence, Norman turned and knocked repeatedly on the old wood
"Norman, stop, stop, you're gonna break the door" Emma materialized with her brother and parents by her side
"WHAT IN THE FUCK!?" Barbara exclaimed and pulled out her knife. By reflex, the ghosts stepped backwards at the sight of the weapon, and scattered around the house. Emma disappeared into a mirror in her room, Ray went into his own room and the parents phased back to the library
"... BARBARA, WHAT THE HELL!?" Don yelled "WHY DID YOU EVEN BRING A DAGGER!?"
"SELF DEFENSE, DUMBASS. I DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD SCARE SOME ACTUAL GHOSTS AWAY" Barbara yelled back
"SHUT UP" Norman intervened "can we just find them?"
"Yeah, sorry" Barbara apologized as they all walked upstairs to the room Emma entered
"Emma..?" Norman called as he wiped off the dust from the mirror's surface. In their reflection, Emma was behind them, not in reality, with her back towards them "sorry about that.. You okay?"
"Mmh..." Emma hummed, put her hand on a pink parasol next to her, and turned around. Everyone was caught by surprise by her appearance. She didn't have any scars or blood, in fact, she looked alive... "Its okay.." She said as she stood up and walked towards the mirror. She put her hand on the mirror and phased back through, parasol in hand "where did Ray go?"
"The room across from here" Hayato answered
"C'mon, let's go" Emma hovered toward to room
"Ray..? Ray, where'd you go?" Emma looked around and her eyes landed underneath the bed "Ray, I know you're there" she said as she crouched to look under the old bed. The raven haired boy slowly rose up from under the bed
"Hey.. Sorry about the whole dagger thing earlier.." Barbara apologized
"Its alright, I guess" Ray fiddled with his fingers a little "I'm not sure about Mother and Father..."
"c'mon, I have an idea of where they went" Emma floated her way over to the library
"Mother? Father?" Ray called out in the seemingly empty library. After a little bit, Emma found her parents in a corner, huddled together, like... The night they all died...
"Come now, its safe" Emma beckoned to her parents. reluctantly, they went with their daughter to where the living souls stood silently. The adults were silently sulking together
"Yeah.. I'm so sorry about earlier" Barbara apologized again
"It- its fine, dear" Leslie smiled weakly. Awkward silence followed it for a solid minute or two when shattering was heard. They all snuck near the sounds source. They saw two men sneaking into the house through a window in the back
"My, my..." Isabella sighed "stay here, darlings, we'll be back" she said as her and her family phased away
"We're watching this, right?" Hayato asked
"Fuck yeah" Cislo replied. They all snuck over to the place the two intruders were and stayed quiet as possible, this kinda reminded them of the Sticky Bandits from Home Alone
"Dude, you sure this place has good stuff? I thought people died here" robber one asked
"Yeah, man! This family was rich!" The other said as he ran around, searching for things to take. And, like the first time, Ray and Emma's laughter echoed again
"What was that?" robber one asked (I'm not giving them names 🤷)
"Probably nothing. Stop being such a wuss, man" robber two scoffed. For context, they were in the old dining room and the ghosts were in the kitchen. A cup was thrown against the wall and it, obviously, shattered
"WHAT WAS THAT?" Robber one exclaimed
"Bro, calm down. A shelf probably just broke" Robber two shrugged. Suddenly, A screech filled the house
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" Robber one screamed
"Dude, chill. Probably just an animal" Robber two crossed his arms
"Nah, man. I'm leaving. You can do this yourself" robber one said and left
The intruder made his way to the garden where everyone had snuck to watch. There was a room overlooking the overgrown garden, where the ghosts had gathered near a window and made their presence known

the intruder screamed so loud that Norman could've sworn that one of the remaining windows cracked and the man ran and jumped over a hedge and disappeared. As soon as the robber was out of earshot, Emma and Ray started laughing hysterically as they turned back to their normal state
"Ha! That was the quickest one yet!" Emma laughed
"Right?" Ray laughed too "hey, you guys can come back out now" he called out to the living souls before they all came out
"... How did you do that" Hayato asked confusedly
"All ghosts can deform themselves as much as they'd like" Emma smiled innocently
"So, you just deformed yourselves?" Cislo asked (I forgot he existed for a bit-)
"Isn't that what I just said?" Emma asked rhetorically
"Mhm. We don't have any solid form of physical matter so we can just do anything" Ray explained
