The night Buneary evolved into Lopunny, you didn't catch a wink of sleep.
Something was bothering you. You just couldn't tell what. Your room was too quiet, save for the winter air brushing up against the window as you faked slumber with your eyes loosely shut. That night, of course you didn't order Lopunny to sleep where she'd be uncomfortable; you allowed her to sleep next to you in bed.
The issue was that Lopunny watched you "sleep" the whole night. She didn't rest either, finding herself far too busy monitoring your every breath, your every heartbeat, the subtle fluttering of your eyes beneath their lids.
She didn't take her eyes off of you all night.

The next morning, when you come out of your room with Lopunny sticking almost too close behind on your heels and your mother catches sight of the two of you while on her way to the bathroom, she freezes up and makes a nasty face.
"Are you kidding me?" she murmurs, the sight of Lopunny making her feel dizzy and like she hadn't slept at all either. Her eyes linger on the tall bunny for a moment before soullessly traveling back to the bathroom door. "Nevermind," she adds, "I'm not asking. Breakfast is on the table."
She drags herself out of sight, leaving you and Lopunny to yourselves. There's no discussion to be had so you continue on your way downstairs to the kitchen. You're too tired to react, but when you reach the foot of the steps, Lopunny wraps her arms around your neck from behind. A sudden embrace, but a loving one all the same.
"Not now, girl," you manage to say although your voice is strained by sleep deprivation.
Hesitantly loyal, she obeys, releasing your neck. You groggily drag your feet all the way to the kitchen and sit down at the table where a plate of steaming breakfast awaits you in all its glory: golden-brown toast tastefully adorned by a smooth sheen of butter, a few strips of bacon, not too crispy just like you like it, and a pair of eggs ready to be poked into with the edge of your bread so that the warm creamy yolk can come spilling out.
You missed this. Not only have you been given the chance to rewind time for Lopunny's sake, but you are able to make up for any lost time. Small things such as breakfast, though trivial in the grand scheme of things, make you oddly happy.
Doesn't change the fact you can barely keep your eyes open.
You power through the drowsiness as best you can. It's still not enough. You feel like you're wading your limbs through molasses, an ocean too thick to swim through. Your eyes are heavy and your throat is dry. You're pretty sure you can hardly see color right now.
Lopunny sits beside you, peering over your plate of food.
"Lo-pun?"
You look at her through your blurred vision. Her eyes are set on your food. You assume she's asking for some so you grab a piece of bacon and hold it out for her. She doesn't take it right away, in fact her expression suggests something other than hunger.
"Pun-pun...?"
"Go on, take it."
Lopunny just stares for a while. It's almost like she's staring through it, even through you. You don't pressure her any longer about eating. You figure if she's hungry, she'll eat.
As for you, since it's so unbearably difficult to keep yourself from feeling like you're sinking in your own mindlessness, you don't bother trying to eat. Soon you feel yourself give up your body to that impossible ocean of slumber and dip your head into the kitchen table. Sleep whisks you away in seconds and all goes deathly silent before you. The last thing you sense before going blank is only the smell of your breakfast plate. Hot and savory, but not enough to coax you out of shutting your eyes.
