A couple hours after a lot of social studies, math, language arts, science and blah blah blah, it was time for lunch.
Mariah was first in line. The lunch lady that was at the register, (which I think is the cashier?) asked her what her name was. Mariah replied "Mariah Bayer" The lunch lady typed her name into the computer and said "Your name isn't on here. Are you a new student?" Mariah replied "yes" then the lunch lady wrote her name on a sticky note.
Mariah walked up to the booths where her class was sitting. She didn't know where to sit so, she sat by a girl wearing a purple jacket. Mariah said "Hi." and the girl in the purple jacket said "Hi. I'm Madison."
