It had been 4 years since i decided to give up on trying to become a full time exorcist, i had followed many courses but it just wasn't cut out for me, everytime i managed to get a step further there were no jobs for me to take, so i settled for an old-fashioned office job, it was for a old retail company that sold clothes, i know this sounds boring but just listen ok, my name is Jane smith and i have never felt like i belong in this time, i have always had a connection to the spirit world and the past, most people are scared of the afterlife, but i find it fascinating, but like i said in 2010 people aren't really on the look-out for a exorcist so i was forced to leave that line of work, now i'm sitting here at a 9 to 5 at a computer typing sales records and helping customers on the phone about clothes,
'RIIIIINNNNGGG RIIIIINNNGGG' "Oh darn!" I picked up the phone quickly pressing it between my shoulder to hold it against my ears without any hands, "Star wear and co. Jane speaking how may i help you today?"
You said quickly going back to your computer screen typing away "No ma'am i'm afraid that line of skirts was discontinued about a week ago, but you can still trade the item and get something in the store from around the same price."

You slowly nodded while grabbing the phone again with your hand "Mhm, yeah, sure thing ma'am, thanks for calling i'm happy to help, i hope we will see you soon." After the women hung up you softly placed your phone back in it's holder while you sighed, looking at the clock, "Ah it's time for me to clock out, that's nice."
You got up from your desk chair grabbing your bag chugging down the last bit of your coffee to then pud on your coat and scarf, it was quite the gross weather out there and you didn't want to freeze on your walk home,
Once your coffee was downed your took your mug placing it in the sink of the office kitchen and you made your way to the door, but before you could even walk out of the room a guy slammed the door closed leaning against it with a sleazy grin on his face, "Hey you~" John said, you sighing in response, "No Jhon for the last time i'm not going out with you, i'm not interested in a relationship, besides you were seen kissing emily last weekend at the office get together, i don't want to be another prize on your shelf okay?" You pushed him aside as you made your way through the door grabbing your umbrella from the big pot outside the office, while you made your way into the main lobby where the door to the outside was you heard John chance after you, if you could just be fast enough to make it outside right in time,

"Jane wait! Please!" John grabbed your hand, and your turned around sighing in frustration, while this was happening the front desk guy looked up from his papers to make sure you weren't getting bothered, "Listen, i know you heard that rumor of me kissing Emily at the get together but it isn't true, we just talked and had a drink that's all, i don't want my lips to be touched by anyone but you.." He said while slowly leaning in closer to you puckering his lips and closing his eyes, you scoffed annoyed and you shoved John's face away taking him by surprise and rubbing the cheek you had touched, "Jane...Your so cruel..Can't we just have coffee?" You placed your bag on your shoulder and looked at John, "No John, i don't want to get coffee, i would like to go home." And with that you opened your umbrella and stepped outside in the pouring rain making your way back to your apartment still frustrated by John, 'God won't he ever just take a hint and leave me alone, i can't believe him.'

After you arrived home you shook out your umbrella at the front door of the apartment complex and made your way inside greeting the front desk lady, "Hey Marie, any mail today?" You said opening your bag just in case she had anything for you, "No dear this time we had no mail at all today" You nodded with a friendly smile and you entered the elevator up to the 5th floor, once the elevator arrived you stepped out and made your way to your door, once inside your apartment you dropped your bag and umbrella sighing completely exhausted from today. your body was completely drained out from that confrontation with John, he never left you alone and had the gift of draining you completely of all the energy you had left after a day at work, with a soft grunt of frustration you took off your slightly damp coat and hung it on the rack by the door, once that was done off went your shoes before making a B-line to your bathroom "God i need a shower.." You said running your fingers through your hair, relaxing in the shower and cleaning off all that old negative energy could work, but right before you could even open the door to your bathroom you were snapped out of your thoughts by the loud ringing of your phone, right. Of course when i'm about to go and hop in the shower, damn... you thought before walking back to your phone that was standing on a table beside your couch
