A/N: This chapter is slightly shorter than the others T^T but since I'm posting this and the next one together, it shouldn't really matter O_<
" I promise, I can find some job around here so I can pay rent, I don't wanna be a mooch."
" You're my Kid, I don't expect you to pay rent." Nick rebukes with a chuckle, walking over to the table where You and Deliah sat at, You feeding the baby a freshly made bottle of formula.
" At least let me pay back something per month, I'd feel bad if I didn't." " All I want you to do is watch over Deliah when I'm at work, take her to school and feed her whenever I work late."
" That's my Job." Springtrap butts in, almost aggressively, his shoulder bumping into Nicks back and making Nick stumble, almost dropping his coffee. Springtrap puts a plate of pancakes on the table in front of Deliah before turning back to the counter.
" I don't trust you with Deliah." Nick spits, stepping aside when Springtrap comes back and sets a plate in front of You as well, which Nick thought was odd because Springtrap usually only made pancakes for Deliah.
" You can't drive her to school in the mornings or pick her up in the afternoons either, and the only foods I've ever seen you make is Pancakes and Cookies, I'm surprised her teeth aren't rotting out of her skull by now from all the sugar you feed her—"
Nick shut up when Springtrap glared at him, eyes a dark purple, almost black.
"... Thanks, Springtrap." You awkwardly cut through the pause of silence, pulling the plate closer to you and picking up the fork.
Springtrap glanced down at you, the dark purple fading away just a bit before he scoffs at Nick and goes back to the countertop to clean up.
Nick watches the rabbit for a moment before turning to say something to you, only for the phone on the counter to start ringing.
" I'll get it!" Deliah jumps up and rushes past Springtrap, picking up the phone and twirling the cord on her finger as she talks to whoever's on the other side. Springtrap moving from where he was cleaning to hover over Deliah as she spoke on the phone, causing Deliah to put a hand on Springtrap nose to push him back to give her some room.
" Huh, She looks happy." You remark in a playful tone. " It must be Harry. You remember him, You used to babysit his Brother." Nick bring up, stepping over and taking Deliahs seat to sit across from you.
You thought for a moment before the memories clicked into place, remembering your old babysitting job for a family that lived down the street.
" Oh! Matthew? Jeez, I haven't seen that kid since he was fourteen.."
Matthew was only five years younger than you, but you had babysat him since he was 6 and You were 11.
" Ugh, you should see him now; He has a nose piercing." Nick says with a distasteful groan, making you laugh. " Aww, He tried to copy me~" You had gotten a nose piercing some time when you used to babysit Matt, no doubt that he had gotten the idea from you.
Deliah came bounding back to the table and rested her elbows up on the wood, grinning widely.
" Can I go over to Harry's later?" " I can drive her. I remember the Address." You offer, really just trying to find an excuse to get out of the house for a while. You needed a break from Springtrap, even if he was acting Nice today.
Speaking of, You saw Springtrap grimace near the countertop as he watched the three of you before he goes back to cleaning off the counter with a wash rag.
" Hm, Sure. I gotta do some Grocery shopping later on anyways." Nick says with a shrug. " Go ahead and get ready." He waves off Deliah, who quickly runs out the kitchen to go to her room.
Springtrap perked up when he watched her run by, and he went after her, leaving You and Nick in the kitchen.
" Can you watch the baby so I can wash my hair in the sink?" " Why not take a shower like a Normal person?" Nick quips as he stands up and comes over to your side to take the baby out of your hands.
" I'd rather just wash my hair right now. I take too long in the shower."
You left the kitchen and got a towel and some of Deliahs Shampoo out of the bathroom before returning, setting the faucet to a good temperature before sticking your head underneath the running water and began getting your hair wet.
At some point, you hadn't even heard him come in over the sound of the water, Springtrap came back. Deliah bounded into the living room with Nick, and you thought it was just You in the kitchen.
You got the back of your head and everything wet and reached for the shampoo, miscalculating how far you had set it down from the sink and struggling to find it while keeping your head under the water.
Springtrap tilted his head a little and reached over, Pushing the shampoo bottle a bit closer to your reach, watching you made a triumphant noise as you finally found it and popped the cap, pouring the shampoo in your head before putting the bottle back and scrubbing it into your hair.
It was such a Mundane task, but Springtrap just kept watching, hovering over you. You had left the top open on the Shampoo and had haphazardly set it on its side on the countertop, and Springtrap picked the bottle back up and closed the top with a soft click before he set it upright.
He didn't notice that his tail was moving from side to side, wagging like a dog, but in animatronic bunny form.
He watched as your hair was soon covered in white suds from the shampoo, and as he saw you struggling to find the little hose for the sink, he grabbed it from its place and practically put it into your hand.
As you rinsed your hair out with the small hose, Springtrap took a few steps back, watching as you finished up.
Once all of the Shampoo was out, you wrung your hair out before taking the towel and wrapping it around your head, tucking a few stray strands up into it as you turned around.
You jumped a little when you saw Springtrap standing near the doorway, though he didn't look like he was actually intentionally trying to scare you like he was doing last night.
Still... it was unsettling.
