You looked in the mirror, razor in hand... The scars wrapped around your body gave you physical discomfort, yet you still added to them every day. Rio barged through the door, as you wrap your robe back around you.
"Mommy.... Can you drive me to McDonald-" He exclaimed, cutting himself off when he sees the situation.
Startled, you drop the blade to the floor.
"What, are you gonna kill yourself or somethin'?" Rio dramatically laughed in your face, not having a drop of empathy for you. And after a second, tears followed with the blade onto the floor. You sobbed and sobbed and hugged Rio until you couldn't stand. You looked up at Rio who had a displeased mask attached to his face now. He pushed you off.
"If you wanna kill yourself, go ahead! I wasn't tryna' stop you!" He grabs the razor and hands it to you with persistence. His mask instantly switches from that irritated frown to a mocking, shit-eating grin yet again after he sees the pleadful glint in your eyes. You couldn't believe it.
With tears in your eyes, you said "R..Ranger... I thought we were.... *sniff* to... gether.."
"Hah.... You thought wrong, bastard!" Ranger looked down upon you with envy and hatred in his eyes. All this time you had been fed false information about him, thinking the 'bond' you had was ever real. Your heart sunk to the ground where your knees were, the pressure in your throat building up.
"Jeeeeeezz..........." Ranger sighed and knelt, picking up your wrist for you. "Keh, hold on tight." Ranger mumbled before being interrupted by the loud swinging of the door opening. Again.
"RANGER, BOYYYYYY... DID YOU DO THE DISHES LIKE I ASKED??" Gashu sternly shouted. Ranger quickly put the razor on the ground and swept it out of sight. He was NOT trying to get caught.
"U-um... I'll get right on it, dad!" He replied, skedaddling out of the room, Gashu shutting the door being him.
Wtf
Rangers' expressions changes with who he is with. Especially his dear father. You could say he's jumpier around him. Like, wasn't Ranger literally trying to do self-harm for you? Is that even self-harm anymore?
You don't even know why he wants to impress his dad; your father left a long time ago. And for that reason, you'll never figure out what's wrong with Ranger. Anyways...... back to self-loathing.
