Dean was driving the impala around.

"Yeah?" Dean asked over the phone as he was driving. Sam and I were in the motel room. He was staring out the window at a cop car. I was sitting on the bed with my journal and Fudge.

"There's a cop car outside." Sam said into the phone.

"I still think you're being paranoid." I said to Sam.

"You think it's for us?" Dean asked over the phone.

"I don't know." Sam said.

"I don't see how. I mean we ditched the plates, the credit cards." Dean said.

"Exactly, so stop freaking out." I said. We saw the cop car drive away. Sam breathed out.

"They're leaving. False alarm." Sam said as he relaxed.

"You see. Nothing to worry about." Dean said.

"Yeah, being fugitives? Freaking dance party." Sam said.

"For you two." I said with a smile and Sam threw a book he was reading at me, which I caught.

"Hey man, chicks dig the danger vibe." Dean said over the phone.

"You can tell yourself that Dean, still won't make it true." I said. In the motel room, Sam was standing in front of a bunch of books. They're all about a specific demon called Djinn, and on top of them is John's journal, open on the same subject.

"So, you got anything yet?" Sam asked Dean.

"Are you kidding me? How could I? You got me sifting through like 50 square miles of real estate here." Dean said.

"Because you're the pro who can do anything Dean." I said. I could practically hear Dean's eye roll.

"Well, that's where all the victims disappeared." Sam said.

"Yeah well, I get at least squat. What about you?" Dean asked.

"Just one thing. I'm pretty sure of it now. We're hunting a Djinn." Sam said.

"A freaking genie?" Dean asked.

"Yeah." Sam said.

"What? You think these suckers can really grant wishes?" Dean asked.

"I don't know. I guess they're powerful enough. But not exactly like Barbara Eden and the harem pants. I mean, Djinn have been feeding off people for centuries. They're all over the Koran." Sam said.

"My God. Barbara Eden was hot, wasn't she? Way hotter than that Bewitched chick." Dean said.

"Are you even listening to me?" Sam asked.

"When is he ever listening?" I asked.

"Yeah. So uh, what do the Djinns lair at?" Dean asked.

"Ruins usually. Uh. Bigger the better, more places to hide." I said.

"Yeah, I think I saw a place a couple miles back. I'm gonna go check it out." Dean said.

"No, no, no, no. Come pick us up first." Sam said.

"No. I'm sure it's nothing. I just wanna take a look around." Dean said. He hung up the phone.

"I swear if he gets hurt, Imma shoot him." I said. Sam sighed.

Dean woke up in a bedroom with an old movie playing on the tv and saw a brunette lying next to him. He walked into a different room and called Sam.

"Dean?" Sam asked.
