( a strange dream )

Milo didn't know where he was.

Everything around him was unfamiliar. He was in a village, or rather in a city, stone buildings with red roofs stretched who knows how far out until suddenly, there were no more houses. The houses, or villas - Milo wasn't too sure - were replaced by a vast landscape of trees and greenery, or he at least guessed that it was green, he didn't see much because everything was dark. This all stretched out until a big hill took everything over.

From this hill fog was spreading and Milo swore he could feel the earth shake a bit from time to time as he cluelessly stood in the middle of a small, empty street.

How could this be? Hadn't he just fallen asleep in his room in the manor?

As he looked around, once again observing his surroundings a single crow flew across the night sky startling him with its loud cry.

Deciding that he had stood around for long enough, Milo began making his way down the street, looking at the rather lavish houses surrounding him. It was as if he was in a time long passed and forgotten.

After a while the street finished with a dead end. There was only a single house, bigger than any of the others and its door was lavishly decorated with gold and silver ornaments.

The silver reminded him of Hermione and hopefully she liked the necklace he had gifted her.

Out of nowhere, someone jumped down from the roof, a whirlwind of flying skirts and blue fabric landed next to him and judging by the perfect landing the woman with curly hair had done it many times already.

Milo glanced up to the roof, checking if someone else would come following after her, but it seemed she was alone. He turned to the woman, wanting to ask her something but as she had fixed her stola, she began walking with determined steps down the street. Her curly hair jumped up and down with every step she took.

Not sure what to do and where to go in this unfamiliar place at night, Milo followed her, catching up as she hid behind a wall when someone passed by. So she was doing this in secret, Milo concluded as he walked alongside her.

He observed her with what little he could see, since the street was only illuminated by the lights of the stars and moon. She had light brown curly hair and as he observed the woman's face, he tripped and almost fell to the floor.

This woman he was dreaming of in this bizarre setting, she looked exactly like Hermione Granger. It wasn't like this was only a small resemblance, no, it was as if Hermione was walking next to him. Her demeanor and acts were even the same, constantly touching her hair as she walked and fiddling with the fabric of her stola.

She must be nervous, but why?

They reached something like a market square, or Milo would describe it as such in the very least. When she entered it, leaving behind the protection of the many houses, the earth began to shake.

The girl fell by the force of the earthquake and Milo also stumbled to the ground. Simultaneously, the two of them turned towards the smoking hill and only now did Milo realize that it was actually a volcano.

How had he not realized this earlier? But why was he dreaming all of this? What was the meaning behind all of what was happening?

He had no time to think more about it, the Hermione look-alike composed herself and began running through the market square and into another street, leaving the flaming volcano behind her.
