The Fall of an Empire

A date??

Amen.

Today was an eventful day, Seth had a few scheduled meetings. Many beings of which trades. He has asked me if I'd like to join him in any of the meetings, I wanted to decline.. I really should have declined but instead I agreed to accompany him to his last meeting of the day and afterwards have dinner with him.. God, the regrets really sat in.

"My driver will be here at 5:30, the meeting will go till 6:25, and afterwards we shall grab some dinner. Think of it as our first date Sounds good?" Seth said.
Our first date? So, fancy restaurant, Yay!
"Alright! I'll be in town today till like 5:00. Is there anything you need?" I asked.
"Could you pick up some wine, red wine I hate that white wine shit. Also, a new kitchen knife? Mines gone dull" He said.
"Red wine and Kitchen Knife. Noted!" I said with a joyful smile. Crazy to think this man drinks anything with color considering he is plain and basic. I didn't even know he cooked, maybe he does. No, he must because he wants a knife!

The town is very lovely, gorgeous. So many kind souls walk it, loads of vendors, and many stores. The wine store was my first stop since it was the closest. I had asked one of the maids where Seth likes his wine from and she told me this is the one with the best wine in town. My next stop was a blacksmith, I decided it was best I went there rather than going to the grocery store because they are much sharper and will last longer. Last, was the tailors. I had asked her to make me a few new dresses, including one for tonight for at the meeting and dinner. Since I'm an Empress I am expected to be dressed nicely at all times with everyone.

Time for the meeting, the driver had picked me up a little earlier than 5:30. I was hesitant because I hadn't ever met this driver before. It was a long and silent drive. Honestly, I was confused where we were going since sun had set.
"Excuse me, driver? Where is Seth?" I asked nervously and confused.
"Don't worry dear. You'll be seeing him real soon...Real soon..." Driver said.
"What do you mean by that?? Where the hell is my husband? What's going on!? Is Seth alright? Who are you!?" I shouted.
"Let's just say you're husband is gonna regret what he did to my home's Emperor. Karma is here." Driver said.
