please know that unless their names is in the bold it is still their point of view even in the continuing chapter.

The morning started like any other for me. I would be up by 5:15 am on the dot, start my 'In My Bag' playlist and get ready for the gym. Dayna would still be stirring in her sleep as I would have to check on her in our guest room. Before the incident, we weren't sleeping together. On the other hand, we were sleeping with each other.

Look, marriage is complicated and no one ever tells you that each day is going to be a different version of your partner. The past 24 hours have been a culture shock to me because I have been so used to being without her...I was actually starting to enjoy it.

I let the hot water beat down my fresh fade exposing my scalp, turning my head to encompass the rest of the hot beads to massage my face. Last night was weird, she slept in the bed for the first time in over a year and for some reason I am the one who is feeling extra nervous about it. Letting out a sigh, I shook off whatever nerves that are having me all wired and focused on this shower.

About 15 minutes or so passed as I finished my routine and stepped out into my overly steamed bathroom. The air damn broke into all my pores and nostrils so much that I was able to take a clean sniff before wiping my right hand over our mirror, revealing a dripping me.

How am I going to deal with all this, while having this fool ride my back about this new project? It's safe to say I know who my real boss is and I couldn't even quit if I tried.

How did I get hooked up with this fuck?

That is a thought I drill into my skull daily. Everyday on top of fearing for my bills, I fear my livelihood. My family's lives and now Dayna's. Before all this, I was going to file for divorce within the year. Especially if the problem was not going to be resolved anytime soon. This was something that I thought we always wanted.

My thoughts got interrupted at the alarm buzzing from my iPhone letting me know I got about 20 more minutes to get ready before heading to the gym and starting my day. I quickly brushed my teeth and moved through my skin care routine before stepping into my walk-in closet.

The routine to get there was one that seemed automatic at this point. I clicked my key to my 2022 Beemer and quickly threw my belongings into the car before making my way to the gym, which only took about 8 minutes seeing as though it was literally down the street.

I got there in no time. I hopped out grabbing my stuff from the passenger side making my way up to the door.

Damn, I forgot to check on Day before I left..hm well...I'll call her when I'm done.

The automatic door swooshed open as I stepped through them, smelling the early morning scent of running machines and cleaned equipment. I slid my chrome overhead headphones to secure on my eyes as I flashed my keycard to the scanner.

Burna Boy 'City Boys' began to blast in my lobes as I saw my man, Ezekiel, who worked behind the counter. I shot him a nod before extending for our daily dap, still keeping my pace to the usual corner to start my therapy.

I saw the normal patrons in here, like this older lady who comes in to only walk, I smiled to myself seeing that she was still hitting her goal. I saw the couple who have been in here for months spotting each other with their RDLs. It kind of reminded me of Dayna and I when we used to come to the gym together. That was when, all we did was spend time together. It wasn't just about the gym, it was seeing how we both supported each other as we tried to reach our individual goals. I mean, I did also enjoy seeing her do them hip abductions.
