Sofia is an only child, as her father passed away before she was born. Furthermore, Sofia's mother is battling terminal breast cancer, and Sofia and James strive to be there for her, just as she was for them. Although Sofia grew apart from her childhood best friend, who became famous, she has maintained a relationship with his father and older brother. Now, Sofia has made the decision to return to singing, as her mother always wanted to see her perform. To accomplish this, Sofia plans to audition for The Voice and reunite with her childhood friend, Niall Horan.
