It was dark. There were at least twenty of them in one room. All girls. Dark walls. Dark floor. No windows. Locked doors. Only one small chandelier hanging in the middle of the room.

Bunk beds. In each bed lay a lonely, frightened, a confused, angry little girl. Wondering if anyone is looking for them, if anyone cares where each of them is, or maybe they are all just orphans whose parents died in the war... or some tragic accident.

Her name is three. Well, she wasn't sure if that was her real name...but that's what the people around her called her...more like robots than people. She, like the rest of the girls there, didn't know who she was...nor where is she from... how old is she... or how did she even get there.

Technoid. The organization was called. Or maybe even the people who kept them. If she didn't understand a lot of things... that meant she was no older than ten years...maybe even some ten-year-olds understand more things than her.

It was late at night...everyone was sleeping...well, obviously everyone except her...she has been here for a long time...she learned how to speak here... and to count and write. She practically grew up in this Technoid place. They weren't treated so much like animals... but still the feeling of loneliness and confinement was present.

They were trained to fight... to think  whatever situation they find themselves in. Which will be relatively useful for them in the future... but they were still just children. They didn't know how long they would be kept there... nor how long they would serve as pawns... like little soldiers.

Until someone jolted her out of her thoughts and made her turn away from the wall to face that person. Her eyes blinked a few times banishing any tiredness she felt for a short time.

When she realized it was just one of the nurses that they took care of them. Her name was Nessa. She used to wonder if she favored her more than the other girls. The young nurse gave a gentle smile to the little girl. "Reya, we don't have much time... if you want to leave this place, it's now. "The little girl gave her a confused look but still got up from the bed and said goodbye to whatever sleep she could catch that night.

The nurse walked towards the door with quiet steps trying not to wake the other girls. Opening the door with the card she slowly grabbed the girl's hand and dragged her out of that prison of the room. They started down a long corridor that was very familiar to  three . She looked around in fear, trying to take her mind off the possible robots that could catch them in a potential escape.

They turned around and entered Nessa's laboratory. Locking the door with the same card from earlier, Nessa turned to the girl. "Now listen to me carefully...you are the only one of all the children here who had any desire to escape...they all gave up thinking that there is no escape from the Technoid....I have people on Akillian who work in the orphanage... you will be much better and safer there....I know it's hard to accept all this but you have no choice.Either you run ...or you are their soldier."

She sighed nervously as if she was waiting for someone to break through the door of her laboratory and take the girl away and lock her up.

Placing both of her hands on the girl's shoulders she continued."I'm going to open the vent for you...  you'r on your own from here...I know it sounds terrifying...but you're small and capable...and it's safer to go alone....there's less chance of getting caught."

She took another pause to sigh deeply."And forget  the whole number thing your name is Reya not three…."
She said annoyed as if she was pissed off that Technoid lied to them about everything.Lied about the identities of these poor girls. How they took them from there parents in the middle of a war.
