It was late when she returned home that day.Or as Micro-Ice promised to return her by nine. The time had passed when everyone should have been in their rooms and in bed. She sneaked back through the window from where she had escaped that day. But Reya wouldn't be Reya if she did have any luck in her life. .As soon as it dawned, she got a call from the office of the orphanage. Her two-faced roommates reported her to the principle that she came late last night. Great. Just Great.
After a two-hour conversation about how irresponsible she is and can't sneak out, and the shock that Mrs. Smith experienced when she found out that she went to try out for the team and that she managed to get into it. She thought the woman was going to pass out 3 times. Instead of going back to her shared room as she was told, she sneaked out again. It wasn't so much sneaking as she just went to the main door and just left. So what? They can't punish her.

...

She slept at the academy that night. She still didn't tell Aarch that she lives in an orphanage... and that actually no one knew that she came for the test the day before. It's not that she was ashamed of not having a home or parents. Reya didn't know how he would react to that....and will he succeed in persuading Mrs. Smith to let her play for his team. Anyway, that day they had their first practice....hoping that everything will be okay and that she is still able to play football like yesterday.

They all stood on some kind of treadmills until the ball appeared in front of them. Oh well. For the first training session, it was very exhausting. none of them probably expected this and they didn't even know what they were getting into. It felt more like they were in the army than training for a game.

And then the treadmills started moving and they with them. the point of this training was probably that they don't drop the ball along the way and that they don't get killed while doing it.

Trying to focus more on what she's doing right now and not on her thoughts. Reya picked up some pace and ran a bit while also pushing the ball in front of her."D'Jok remind me wasn't football a game back in the day?" Micro-Ice asked wearily who was on the lane to D'Jok's right.

"That's true" replied Ahito."How come we never play a game...so I can take a nap by the goal." He looked like he was ready to take a nap now. Until we heard Aarch's stern voice speaking through his bug." I already told you you weren't here to have fun. I didn't recruit you to stand around with your hands in your pockets. You are here to make you a real team capable of beating the best in the league. And you'll play games when you're ready."

"And when should that be"A short boy next to her asked.Great timing Micro-Ice.And to end Aarch's speech he fell to the floor with his head first. She only looked for a moment trying to hold back her laughter."Apparently still not" Aarch said you could hear his smile even if you didn't see it.

And with that the training was over. "Look look Micro-Ice you're a real dumbass" Sinedd said when we appeared back in the room." I don't know what's stopping me from strangling that guy." Micro-Ice said giving him a nasty look "Fear perhaps?" D'Jok teased. With which Micro-Ice frowned even more and rolled his eyes. And then Reya interjected. "I'll do it for you."
She said without too much emotion as Sinead was annoying her too."My knight in shining armor." Micro-Ice answered her.

"Has she talked to someone yet?"
not even a word with me." Thran interjected, mentioning Tia and her extroverted behavior. Well, this is new to everyone, Tia doesn't have to talk to them if she doesn't want to. For now.

"Well, as irritating as you are, I wouldn't want to talk to you either ...but I have to...someone has to guard you on the field." Reya joked. To which D'Jok, Thran Micro-Ice...and the soon-to-be-sleeping Ahito chuckled between themselves."Calm down Reya we've only just begun ...you don't have to be like D'jok and his bloated head." Thran added making D'jok roll his eyes.

...

it was a few hours after training and she was resting in her new room where she didn't have roommates and had her own space.Finally.

But her peace was interrupted when she got a call from her choach. It was nice while it lasted. Heading to his office Reya couldn't help but wonder if she did something? Maybe he found out that she was an orphan? No put those thoughts aside.
Reya waited a few moments until the door opened by itself. When he noticed her, Aarch said."Reya come in." She accapted his inventation and entered. "You called me at the right moment because I wished to speak with you about something..." She said quickly. Will he kick her off the team for lying? "I am listening ." He told her in more  serious tone but at the same time somehow calm.

"I live in  Akillian orphanage and I snuck out and didn't tell anyone that I was going to the testing, and now that I'm part of the team I don't know what to do because the principle won't just give me away... well, because I'm a minor.....she found out that I lied and didn't let me come, but I definitely came...and please don't send me back and don't kick me out because this planet has bored me and I want something to do with my life because even though I don't know how i ended up here, at least I want to do something meanfull in my life." she said  as if someone was chasing her with a knife.

Aarch hold the same expression."You shouldn't have lied...those people have probably been taking care of you for many years....but at the same time I understand you....I'm not going to kick you out of the team...but I definitely need their approval, I'm responsible for all of you Reya...you have to understand that" He told her but there was no anger in his voice. She scoffed. "Well good luck with that." He gave her a stern look.Which she just smiled  out of embarrassment."Go back to your room...and I will talk to your principle tomorrow."
She nodded
and left his office.

...

Next morning at practice Aarch split them into two teams to play what he called a "match" or some form of it. The opposite team wearing purple jerseys were Meï, Sinedd and Thran. And the team she was in wore regular yellow jerseys, and with her were Tia, D'Jok and of course Micro-Ice.

Everyone stood in the center of the control room and in a second they were transferred to the holo field. Everyone took their positions and the madness soon began. Standing on in the center of the field as soon as they heard Aarch's voice D'jok and Sinedd jumped in the air to catch the ball that flew out of the hole in the center of the field. Anticipating Sinead D'Jock got to the ball before him and headed it in an attempt to throw it to Micro-Ice however Thran was quick to step in front of him causing the ball to bounce off his chest and land on the ground where he kicked it towards Meï.

Trying to stop her as Meï kicked the ball, Tia slipped in front of her feet and took the ball away from her. Picking herself up from the ground, Tia quickly continued trought the field and along the way kicked the ball towards Reya. Finally. She thought. Kicking the ball across the field, she saw Sinedd furiously following her. He looked like he was going to kill her and not just take the ball away. Reya never knew what was going on in his head and why he was acting so disturbed. Who knows, maybe he lost his parents too...even if she doesn't act like a maniac.

After a moment she kicked the ball towards Micro-Ice.Reya couldn't help but notice how he enthusiastically received it and headed towards the goal. Approaching the goal, she was already sure that he would score and they would win this round. Somebody remind her to beat up Sinedd afterwards as soon as they were out of Aarch's sight. Chasing after Micro-Ice, Sinedd stuck his leg out, kicking Micro-Ice in the calf, causing him to fall and miss the goal.Well shit.

"Foul" Aarch shouted through the bug. Now Reya really didn't know what was going on in his inflated head. Tia was close so she was the first to run to Micro-Ice to help him up. In the meantime, while he stabilized, Sinedd gave us a quick evil grin and then turned and continued towards his team. At that moment, she really didn't know what to do. She was sick of Sinedd behaving like that and everyone here pretending to be good when everyone hates him equally... well, she hates Meï too, but obviously not everyone shares same opinion.

Then D'Jock took a penalty kick while Tia was still holding onto the Micro-Ice...and he missed the goal. She could already feel that Aarch
added some comment on that miss. So they started all over again. The ball was with D'Jok first, then Micro-Ice, then with Reya and finally Tia. She could swear that every time she uses the breath of Akilian she gets more and more stunned. With that, Tia achieved the goal, which everyone from her team briefly celebrated.
